I texted my best friend a few minutes ago. Haven't heard back. He's a deputy sheriff. His shift is working at the moment. The shooting occurred in his substation patrol area.

Just talked to a friend. There have been at least 9 officers shot. The deputy that died was a friend. Two more friends are in surgery.

The call went out for blood donors as the supply is low. This particular center where I'm waiting to donate opened today in response for the need for blood to replenish what is being used for the officers shot. There is a line all the way outside the building with blacks and whites equally represented.

WTF! Craziness knows no boundaries. Prayers of condolences as well as for safety for everyone - LE, first responders and innocent bystanders (...face it, it could be anyone, anywhere, anytime...).
