Slow cooker, pulled pork with Memphis barbecue sauce.
Sweetcorn, butter.
Home made coleslaw.
Sliced pan fried sweet potatoes, grape seed oil.
Cored poached Braeburn apples dusted with Vietnamese Cinnamon.

Wonderful big, rich, spicey, dark brambley fuit, white pepper, and a nice nose. A very good $15 bottle.

Were at Serra Vineyards right now...

First was a Viognier, good
Now we're working on a Rosa Marie (made with pinot grapes but aged on stainless not oak) better.

Their reds are ALL 50$ + a bottle....beautiful site but damn.

Pinot noir is outstanding, Tempranillo is viscous with a lot of cherry and pepper.

10 different Pinot Noirs .......

Syrah was ok. But we settled on their "Eleve" Pinot Noir. Their wine is not up to Serra's but the food is outstanding. And where has watermelon radish been my whole life?

Stuffed mushrooms with chardonnay sauce
Mixed green salad with craisins, pumpkin seeds local Bleu cheese and watermelon radishes.
Pizza with olive oil, prosciutto, rosemary, sea salt and carmelized shallots.

Great wine, great food, and great company. Z, what an outstanding day!
