Did they finally Jump the Shark with the Hallelujah song?

By missing out two weeks in a row to capitalize on their best bit in years?

Or did Dave Chapelle bail them out?

Hasn't been funny in many years... and their agenda is very hard to ignore, even in the few moments they can muster some humor... chappelle was funny once upon a time too... he should've stayed wherever it was he went when he lost his mind and bailed on his show...

I'm old enough to remember when it was funny.

I get the bit, and it resonated with a lot of people, but IMHO, the song itself jumped the shark years ago, though it wasn't Cohen's doing by any means.

it's been pretty good this year. Chappelle was very funny.

"first time he made a lot of money" joke in the opening monologue was great

Chapelle was very good. His intro was spot on. There was a skit where yuppie Clinton supporters, and Chapelle go through the evening of the election. Guest cameo appearance by Chris Rock.

Weekend Update was just ok.

The song was not the problem with that bit.

Not by a long shot.

Been a lot of years since I watched, but (accidentally?) watched the election special last week with Tom Brokaw. Most surprising thing about it was that it was actually kinda funny.

seemed like snl poured fuel on the protest trump fire and chappelle didn't seem to help matters either with the jab at "blue lives matter". thought we'd see something like trump bldg a fence around the white house and hillary climbing over with eggs and toilet paper.
