^the irony here is that chat rooms are one of the oldest form of the Internet...I was using chat rooms on a 800baud modem dialing into a computer running a handful of phone lines back in the 80s...

Under "General Discussion" you will always find a current "500" thread.
Back in the day, once a thread went to 500 posts it was capped. Today, the 500 threads commemorates this. The person with the 500th post gets to start the next one.
