The Clash - London Calling (Legacy Edition)

Released in the US 37 years ago? Sheesh, where'd the time go? When it first came out, I remember going to the local CBS Records office and grabbing 6 demo copies of it. "Let's see, one for the store, one for me, Dean, Earl, Al and Kevin in Berkeley. Is that enough?" The good ol' days....

74 F / 68% RH / 7 mph - nice day, high of 85, no rain in sight but tomorrow could be a different story

Typical Friday...blasting dubstep and hip hop in the morning followed by 90s alternative all day.

Wilson Picket (with Duane Allman) - Hey Jude....wow...I'd never heard this before....apparently, this was sorta the conception of what I know to be Southern Rock...

Yes, a great cut. Duane played with many other artists, Aretha Franklin, King Curtis, Boz Scaggs, Herbie Mann, to name just a few. Most know him playing with Derek and the Dominos on "Layla," but his earlier session work was outstanding. Listen to the Hour Glass's "BB King Medley" and I think you'll hear the genesis of both the Allman Brothers Band and Southern Rock.

Tonight, prompted by your post:
