Riding to our land this evening my son tells me that he's studying all about the Holocost It was a great conversation and I wished for you to tell us more.

Then he said, why are Jews noses so big? I said man I have no idea. He said because the air is free. Then he said, I heard that and it makes no sense to me.
I had to laugh. No offense Frank....you're my brother from another mother.

Nice score on the Gabbiano Mattie. It is a nice entry level Chianti that uses classic Chianti grapes. Most of your flavor is from the Sangiovese. Colorino is blended in to give a darker color. Canaiolo softens the blend.

You tell me why this is something that you need to discuss with him.

It wasn't a discussion bud. I guess he heard the joke but didn't get it.

The discussion was about the Jews during WW2. That's what I was wishing you had been with us to share some insight.

2015 Ritual Pinot noir from Chile. First time I've had it. Decent, but a bit too much cherry for me.

Thanks Frank. He's straight now.

FYI.....

If you enjoy Forefront Pinot Noir, buy all you can. It's out of production.

Wente Riva Ranch Pinot Nior.

I won't bother with the tasting notes. But I can say, it's what a solid Pinot should be.

Very nice. Give it a try.

I scanned back a few posts and noticed mention of Chianti and I happen to be drinking a 2012 Riserva DOCG from Villa Cafaggio.
It's nice.
Aged 24 months in oak.
The best part?

..paid I think? $10 for it at Costco.
That's friggin' unheard of for a 100% Sangiovese DOCG.
Get it while you can if you like Chianti.

Trader Joe's has some good cheap wine. 2 buck chuck isn't one of them.
