Yeah Rick...the TV antenna is a Wingard. It's pretty standard on motorhomes and trailers. Never saw one on a house.

you mean black and white tv.

the blacks are really black and the greys are perfect.

i don't mean the aliens that are called "greys", i mean the various greys on the tv.

I thought all satellite dishes had to point to the south? Hmmmm, makes me wonder what signal he's picking up with the dish on the left.

lemme guess...one is for the DTV HD, one is dish network, no longer in use and the other is VOOM, also no longer in use.

That was tough...

1 is voom and it doesn't do anything. one is dish that picks up 2 dish satellites. the third one is dish which has bought the voom satellite and now will pick up the voom channels.

the satellites are in different parts of the sky so we point our rabbit ears everywhere at once. as a channel change is made the box picks the signal it needs to receive that channel.

we do have a flat 36" screen panasonic vega with 1081 lines of resolution.

when we watch hi-def, we lose top and bottom like the wide screen dvds. when we watch non hi-def we lose the sides also.

to compensate for that we run the non hi-def through the vcr.

there is hi-def ad there is hi-def. some of the channels run old movies through a hi-def signal but it is not really hi-def.

the specialty channels like equater, travels around the world, and gallery, through museums and art galleries, blow the mind with color.

we use an onkyo surround sound system, with a good size base woofer and watching and listening to the ride of the valkyries from apocalypse now kicks ass.

Yikes Rick ...

We've got Dish Network, and right now we only have one dish without the 'extra' one for local channels ...

... we get them all with the one dish (and the local channels are free) ...

Ther are a few channels that we don't get, mostly the foreign language channels and some 'off the wall' stuff ... but can get the second dish for free if we want it.

that one dish picks up their satellites 119 and 110.

for $100.00 they will install a voom dish and they charge $5.00 a month.

there are only two channels on the voom satellite #61.5 that we like. the equater and the gallery. those two are true, heavy duty hd. the colors are the best of any hd programing for the hd effect and they show mostly travel and art.
