I don't know what they are going to report on donaldcare but the republicans sure must the amount they are trying to discredit them before it comes out.

Maybe they know the truth? Why else would they discredit them beforehand?

And as for how they are discrediting them they have their thumb on the other side of the chart lol. OMB was off on the mix not the total. But that really doesn't matter.

By the way bammy care is horrible. I didn't think it could get worse until now. Bammy care was debated in congress for nearly a year, voted on then passed in the middle of the night through reconciliation with no one reading it.

At least the GOP isn't wasting all that time. They want to do the exact same thing in weeks not months.

This ain't right folks, I don't care what party you support. It's not a game and this one is going to hurt the bung hole of many in here if not all of us. Unless you are in to that sort of thing I'd suggest setting your party aside and really looking at this thing as a policy or law rather than party chip. Maybe I'm too deep in it but I don't like much of what I see.

I think rand Paul is right on a few things here but don't trust him to stick to his guns or gain support from his peers.

See... I'm the opposite. I fully support this trumpcare abomination. It'll be hilarious.

...sure some people will not be able to afford care... sure some states with Medicare will have to put death panels in place (hey! Remember those?) because of the capped funding...

But this will help make the next 7 years hilarious...

Looks like the report may be coming out as we speak. It will be interesting. They aren't always spot on but usually are a pretty good basis from which to start the discussion despite what the don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain dude says.

Certainly less will be covered. That's obvious without OMB. I'm wondering how much coin is saved.

I'm with Victor on this one. I think I'm insulated from worst scenarios...at least for a while....I fully intend to be amused.

I think every single individual who yelled for "REPEAL OBAMACARE" for the past 6 or 7 years should be the first to lose their current coverage and scramble to replace it. Also, every single politician who pledged repeal and was at least partially responsible for whipping the sheeple into a repeal frenzy without once suggesting a replacement should be made to be without any health insurance for the next 24 months....and their families, too. It'd be sad as hell if it wasn't so funny.....6+ years of bitching without a single one of them offering a suitable (or palatable to anyone) alternaitve

It's not on their site yet (OMB) but if the "breaking" news reports (like don the con I put it in quotes so later I could say I'm just kidding and stuff) are correct I think it's good news for the GOP

14 million lose coverage this year but 337 billion saved over 10 years. That's a decent amount of coin and damn those 14 million peeps are expensive (I know that's just this year so you would need to extrapolate)

Imma wait to get the report myself but on the surface this seems in line with what the GOP wants discounting Trump saying no one would lose coverage and stuff. He was just joking.

Joking aside I don't see this as as bad as the GOP thought and should be liveable to them.

Well, that sounds better than I expected. Sorry for you numbnuts wanting it to fail for comedy relief. Guess you'll have to find something else to entertain you for the next 6-7 years.

I wonder if this even comes up to vote. Republicans seem to be backing away from this in a hurry.

Obamacare was so bad that it needed to be repealed.
Now this seems worse.
But it would never have been necessary if not for the Obamacare debacle.

Think of it this way:
You have a laceration in your thigh.
It isn't going away simply by washing it daily.
So Obamacare comes along and you get a salve.
But the salve causes festering and burning and numbness and you're now going to die from infection.
So the GOP comes to the rescue by amputating your leg.

Just be thankful if they choose the right one.

It was more like:

The laceration in the thigh was bleeding profusely,
direct pressure/ACA/Obamacare was applied...
somewhat effective in most cases, but bleeding was too severe,
someone kept slapping the person applying pressure
bleeding continued
rich people complained about the cost of the bandages
bandage producer started to increase the price of the bandages
the bleeder was poor
So the GOP comes to the rescue by letting the bleeder bleed out

^I hate the "rich people complained" argument... I'm nowhere near rich and I think it's deplorable for any government to force any citizen to buy anything... period...

... come on opel... that's a bit broad.
The govt forces us to buy roads we may not use, schools we may not have children to attend... I didn't hear you whine about these things.
opelmanta1900

No, no they do not... they tax your income which is significantly different...

And i do use roads and I've used schools, and so have you... people from Alabama (rip jet) probably never have... but that's sherman's fault...

Taxing vs "forcing to buy" is mainly a difference in semantics. The only significant difference is that taxing can't force someone who doesn't earn or own anything to buy in...

When you own a home in a city you are forced to pay a percentage of the costs for keeping the school system running (this is putatively passed on to renters as well so you can include them in this). You are essentially purchasing a public school education... whether you have a child or not. Think of it like that gym membership you bought but never cancelled ... but also stopped going after Jan 07.... Those funds are being used by other people who go to the gym daily ... (cleaning...staffing...upkeep). Would like to stop owning that gym membership... but the govt makes you.

Not a big deal... I like schools and roads. My point was simply that opel was painting with a very broad brush when he was against anything the govt makes you buy.

Opel = you...
For some reason I thought someone else posted that.
