Keep an eye out for LAVA™ Premium Butane ... the cleanest burning butane on the planet.

I believe this is the 'new' can design.

WARNING: Use of this fuel will cause lighters of any value to burn cleaner and hotter resulting in a longer life.425221.jpg

Thanks Slim. That's awesome, I was wondering what to look for with the new cans. Your posts are always very informative.

Slim...

That damn stuff almost ruined my zippo insert! Never lit right off, took 5 or 6 clicks to get it going, when it finally lit it blew a 40' flame and then stayed lit for about 30 seconds after I let go of the button. It was dangerous. I had to purge it all out and I put cheap crap in. Now it works like a champ.

Im sorry to yes, yes its true.

It worked fine in my Blazer, which by the way makes the zippo inserts.

Well, it IS damn good stuff ...

CWilhelmi turned me on to LAVA when he moved to CA several years ago and I've had nothing but favorable experiences with it ...

I have a Firebird SST lighter that works like "crap." Sometimes it works, and other times it serves simply as an excercise tool for my thumb. Will this stuff help matters?

Vector KGM Butane is what I just ordered.

"Quintuplus filtered premium Vector butane gas refills are highly recommended for all hi-tech Vector and other gas lighters. Jet torch and turbo lighters require ultra pure gas to produce highly efficient jet flames."

My buddy Gary had a couple cans of it and refilled my Prometheus with it and it has worked just great. LAVA seems like it is too difficult to find.

i have to agree with MAC on this one. i can find Vector anytime. And it's as good as LAVA.

The Vector Quituplus is quite comparable to LAVA, in fact ... the place I use to get LAVA before it became so hard to get ... switched to it, because it was so good.

If you can't find LAVA ... that is the stuff to get.

I've got two different cans designs of LAVA here on my shelf ... flourescent orange with the yellow bottom, and the black and gray one ...

... counting the one in the picture above ... did they make four different can designs?

I use what MACS is using too. I have a bad habit of losing lighters. So I buy cheapies. I have a double flame torch that I spent $7 on over a year ago. It's still going strong using Vector fuel.
