Back when the design for an album was an artform, along with the music. Simply listen to the percussion by Ginger. He was a genius.

Watch the documentary - Beware of Mr. Baker

I've seen that documentary.......it doesn't portray him in the best light......he kinda comes across as a bit of a prick.you can see why he was always in conflict with his band mates.[-(
Not saying I don't love the music,it just seems like it would be hard to like the man.

John Lennon - a CD with cuts from "Live Peace in Toronto 1969" (...only the Lennon cuts - none of that Yoko crap...) and filled with selections from "Rock 'n Roll"

Since I'm smoking a Headley Grange, this seemed appropriate:

The new Foo Fighters...not really liking it and can't put my finger on why.

Doesn't come to par with their other work.

Got a new guy in the office...named Robert Johnson...inspired me to listen to Robert Johnson covers while pretending to listen to interminable conference calls

ZZ Top, Muddy Waters, White Stripes, Stones, Doors, Fleetwood Mac (the good FM....w/Peter Green), Johnny Winter

JPJ was one of the best Rock Bassists ever!!! All the members of LZ were outstanding but JPJ really drives it home.....like few other could (Entwistle maybe?).

Jimmy Martin - 20 Greatest Hits

If I could only pick one bluegrass artist to listen to, the honor goes to Jimmy.

Or maybe Ralph Stanley

I am really digging the Living Colour release "Shade"

This is an awesome listen...so many catchy lyrics that have depth to them. That's so rare today.

"Program"

"Freedom of Expression"

"Who's That" - invoking Robert Johnson and Louis Armstrong as well as Howlin Wolf all in one song????

HIGHLY recommend this.

Good stuff....thank you, DMV. I don't think I've given them two thoughts since Cult of Personality days....never heard, but also love "Who Shot Ya".

I even like the rapping in the stuff....then again, as much as I generally dislike 'rap', I like some of it in my hard rock....ROTM, POD, RHCP, ...but not the yelling of HedPE, etc
