I get my news from a lot of different sources....but, well....they all suck.

I still rely heavily on NPR, but as much for convenience as anything. I can listen during commutes, and there is some depth to the reporting at times...though its usually about some small country five thousand miles away that I could not care less about. Steve Inskeep and Ky Rysdall have both gone completely off the deep left end, and that's pretty maddening....particularly since Inskeep has been a public spokesman for how unbiased NPR is. I want to punch him right through the radio at times.

My wife loves Fox News, so I watch a lot of Fox News. I always hated the tagline about fair and balanced...pissed me off, even. At least they have a couple/few moderating voices that bring a little maturity to the table, even if they never get anywhere near unbiased. If Tucker and Waters..and Hannity...and Janine...and a few others would STFU and let someone else make a point once in a while, it would go a long ways towards keeping my attention.

It almost seems like Washington Post and NY Times felt the need to drift even farther left to compensate for Fox News Effect...There's still a lot of reporting that is straight-up decent news presentation, but political stuff is nearly unreadable.

I think NBC network news does ok, but that's for all of 30 min a day....I don't count the Sunday stuff, nor the stupid Today Show 30 second stuff. CBS and ABC are barely even trying to appear unbiased any more.
I was OK with MSNBC being unapologetically left...they don't pretend to be anything else. But, I'm disheartened to watch CNN go with them.
Whatever happened to Headline News? A channel you could turn on any time, day or night, and get 30 minutes of news, without a lot of filters.

I do rather like OAN and am watching more and more of it. It doesn't pretend that it isn't born on the right. But the infomercials, ala AFRTS, are informative and entertaining. And the specials are pretty good. I don't know where they get them, because I don't think they have the budget to do them organically, but I've watched some good stuff there.

Nope But there never has been. Consume as much as you can from different sources and make your own mind up. I mix in BBC, SKY, Aljazeera (used to) etc for a very different view.

A look at their least biased category shows very few national media except Associated Press, Christian Science Monitor and USA Today

I have never seen a source without an agenda. Some hide it better than others but all lean one direction or another. If you are getting all your news from one source it's because you prefer preaching to the choir or not interested enough to hear any contradictory view.

Easy; Fox News, their tagline is "Fair and Balanced." On a serious note, I think Harvard did a study earlier this year and found their Trump coverage to be the least biased. Or maybe most biased depending on your view of Trump.

I have seen a few of Steve Hilton's "Swamp Watch" segments and thought they were pretty good for MSM. I think all news is pretty biased though; even the independents.

I see Snopes listed as a "least biased news source," which is sure to make some heads on this forum explode. I also noticed the New London (CT) Day on that list, which happens to be the paper of record in my little corner of the world.

Infowars, and the Tyler Durden site are the most unbiased and accurate.

A quick search on the internets shows numerous articles and studies that say Fox watchers are least well informed.
And they like it!

Honestly, it only uses factoids to push opinions and sew outrage. Watch it and switch back and forth between PBS.

Now if you are looking for op eds that bolster a conservative view and it is perfect.
Just like The Daily Show for liberal and moderate views.

Who else would report on enormous bobcats? Shpos that protect me? Goldfish in a swimming pool? Cat poop coffee? MACs birthdays? Jose Padron's passing?

It depends on your own personal bias.

There is no single source, you need to look at several sources and be aware of their particular bent. Thanks you Mr. Fox, my HS government teacher. We were assigned to look up various events and issues in various new sources and then compare the results. It was an eye opener to me and fed my innate skepticism.

Ah, I see. I don't doubt this. The study I was referring to was limited to Trump's first 100 days and like I stated, the results could be interpreted depending on a person's own viewpoint of the president's actions.

Agree totally and we had to do something similar. I also watched my dad and his company get some bad press and listened to him come home every day talking about how biased the coverage was. Then I experienced it in my professional life.

By the way that is very different than Trumps attempts to delegitimize any negative coverage of him. You actually have to believe that Trump (this is Donald Trump.... he's been around forever and has always been a con man) is the only one telling the truth and everyone else is lying unless they agree with him while simultaneously seeing provable lies and contradictions almost every day. This is literally suspending reality and many are willing to do so. It's not intellectually honest and is garbage regardless of party.
