Make a difference in the world by giving aid, etc. Our immigration policy should be about making America a better country to live in.

I guess the tourism numbers for the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and adjacent parts of NY/NJ are gonna plunge, except for Norwegians going for a test drive...

I'm sure Norway is full of good people, now that a person like Anders Brevik, who shot up an island full of teenagers, killing 77, is in custody...

Trump's NY properties just took a hit...did Eric just say "thanks a lot, Dad"...

Paying Bill Gates would have a much bigger impact.
I mean, what if you weren't there to cover the bill and he starved to death?
Then all his charitable organizations would stop.

Just sayin.

Say a young women with small children is in front of you at the grocery check out and she's come up short money-wise and she's scrounging through her purse looking for more money and having the clerk remove items to bring the total down... so you say hey, not only am I gonna cover the amount you're short, I'm gonna take care of the whole thing... lets say it's $200...

While victor is getting excited about fat schoolboys, we should be talking about WHY the Presidents comments were bad even considering his history of lacking a filter when speaking.

This wasn't a closed door private meeting.
Using such strong language leaves zero room for compromise, which is what a negotiation is supposed to evolve around.

A lot of charitable hours have been spent trying to help the poor people of Haiti (for instance). Hearing the President dismiss it with one breath is more than disheartening, it's the thing that revolutions are based on.

I don't usually care about hurt feelings or being politically correct (I know. Gasp!).
This is about respect.

I want to thank President Trump, for being the best President ever. He has identified the problem people in the world and is doing his best to keep our country safe from those people, from those terrible and smelly crater filled countries.Trump is the best President that has ever set foot in the White House. He is so smart and so intelligent, and that makes him see where our problems are and who the problem people are. Once we get rid of all those problem people, this country will be Great Again. Trump is a genius. He's done more for this country in one year than all the other presidents before him, except maybe Lincoln, but definitely not Truman.

I can't wait to see all those boats with all those people debarking from our shores, heading back to their huts, where they came from. Trump is so great...wow, He's unbelievable!

I just hope he doesn't start seeing asian countries as sh*itholes...we all know how that worked out the last time ...

I think we can all agree that Indiana is a lost cause, but there are 195 countries in the world and we only seem to focus on a small number of those. And I'm not just talking about where they come from but who we're taking. I'm not looking for a massive overhaul but some tweaks are needed in my opinion.

George J. Borjas has written a lot of articles and books discussing what impact low-skilled immigration has on our country. Some consider him the foremost expert on the subject. For anyone interested, check him out. I don't want anyone to think that I'm advocating to stop taking in low-skilled labor.

I would just like to see us spread it around to other countries and be smarter about the numbers. If we believe in a nation state with borders, then we have an obligation to our citizens and current immigrants to make decisions that have the least amount of negative impact on them as possible.

Yet all around us we see towns and states declaring themselves sanctuaries. Where immigration laws won't be enforced even upon those who break other laws.

It's this kind of wretched stupidity that tempers the conservative reaction to most of what President Trump says and tweets.

So apparently Lindsay Graham confirmed that trump did in fact call these nations "****holes".

I think Graham has sufficient credibility to believe this is true.

Of course, the orange moron was denying it this morning over twitter. The orange moron does not have credibility.

I suppose this should go in the lyingliar thread.

at this pace...we won't see a full four year term...the US will implode into a civil war...cons v libs...

I think I've just identified the one pejorative for some white people that is just as hurtful as the N word is for some blacks; chinks for some chinese; nips/japs, wops, wet8acks, micks, kykes and all the other racially tinged hate words that have fallen from common use because they were deemed too coarse for civil discourse when the country was trying to unite...

It's the "r" word...some people go nuts when that tag is used on them or on the President and his supporters...

You do realize that people pointing out that the moron f##ktard that you voted for is being a moron f$$ktard is not "snowflakes melting" right?

I mean, I could have said snowflakes were melting the past 8 years when you did nothing by cry that obama was being too diplomatic....
