The idiot ICE-calling lawyer notwithstanding, is it 'racist' to want a single national language?

For:
-All goverment business (fed, state, local)?
What about ANY comms within government buildings?
-Any immigration requirement...forms, exams, etc.? Refugees excluded? Amnesty seekers excluded?
-What about prohibition on spending for bi/multi lingual comms for forms, signs, interpreters, etc? I don't think non-English speaking makes for a federally protected class
-Is it still ok to require English proficiency for ANY job? Or is that discriminatory? Honestly, IDK

I'm pretty inclusive and easygoing, but I think that a national language is not just a cool idea, but pretty much a necessity for essential communications. And back to my first question...I rather resent that the racist tag gets hung on anyone who thinks similarly

Couldnt agree more. Just like scientists worldwide have a specific standardized language which all can understand regardless of nationality or ethnicity. Were talking politicians not scientists though and we all know how forward thinking they are.

Aren't all air traffic controllers required to speak English? Sure we are a melting pot but it seems to me that communication would be a requisite to meld.

A language cannot be raciest. Immigrant assimilation is virtually impossible without learning english.

Printing a few government forms in a foreign language is a waste of taxpayer dollars.
