What do you use for humidification? Spores are more mobile than most realize -- lots of passive methods can develop mold even if your humi indicates 65%...only takes a few spores on a sponge/gel blob/bead/..etc to get airborne onto a cigar -- keep a close eye on the rest of the cigars in that humi -- especially any like AF's with cloth on the feet

Lastly, wipe them off and smoke 'em -- smoking a little mold won't hurt -- in fact, as long as its white (not bluish)...and until it gets thick up in the foot, you should be fine

I've checked the rest of my naked cigars and they look clean, so I'm smoking these two today as there is a little mold in the foot that I can't clean out. Sure as heck not throwing away a 6 year old T-52 and Dirty Rat especially since they are the OR blends. I'm just glad I caught this before the rest of my naked Ligas, Tats, LFDs, etc. where infected.

Weird WB. This was the top drawer of a 250 count glass top. I already ashed the T-52 and I'm still standing. The Dirty Rat gets it tonight.

T-52s used to be my favorite special occassion cigar. The last one I had was about a year and a half ago right after I found my Father passed away in his house. There was no way I'd be getting any sleep after that, so I sat out on the back porch at 3 AM and had one in his memory. It was fantastic. The one today was eh. I've read that LP-9s don't age well. I'm starting to think that 6-7 years is too long for the T-52s also. Hopefully the Rat will be better.

Yes, I know. I'm on another board where folks all the time post photos of the greatly plumed cigar they found at thier local. Half of them look like they've been grown in a petri dish.

I've thought about doing away with my glass tops,one is a 250 and the other maybe 100.I just hate opening the door on my built in very often.I usually keep my ready 5 smokes in one of the glass tops.I may just cut back to the 100 and ditch the 250.I just need to make a few more trays for singles that'll fit on my shelves.But again..........my problems have always been in smaller humi's.
