well then, you've come to the right place.

you may want to introduce yourself in he general discussion forum...and then buy a thick coat cuz you're gonna get rained on big time. But it's worth it if you can survive the initial onslaught.

btw, I banned lol a while back, unless one actually laffed out loud.

no no no... Im definitely not sure that was even the cause... and even if I knew for sure it was, we love this guy... helped him through some close to impossible times when his wife suddenly died a few years back... he generally means no harm... he does like to accuse me of not watering his tomato plants when he goes on vacation, but I think he just likes a little drama or something....

figured as much, you're a good guy, but I won't let that get out.

I have nothing against gun ownership, I own several myself, but comparing carrying a loaded firearm to having insurance, or wearing a seat belt sounds pretty ludicrous to me. Only one of these things is a deadly weapon with the express purpose of harming/killing.

Also no matter how careful or responsible one is, there is always the chance (however unlikely) of accidents, or someone managing to get their hands on your gun, etc.

Then dang, mine must be defective. I've fired over 10,000 rounds out of mine and have never harmed/killed a single living thing.

Is that the purpose of yours? To harm and kill?

The truth of the matter is that a firearm has one purpose and one only. To fire a projectile. Those projectiles can be used for recreation and sport (target shooting and competition), for putting meat on the table, for defending innocent life, and in the hands of evil, to take innocent life. The operator decides what that projectile does, not the firearm.

The projectiles fired from mine are used for recreation and sport, and if need be, though I pray it's never required, to defend innocent life.

Just saying... not trying to start anything. :-"

You should never point your gun at any living thing you don’t intend to kill.

Guns are designed to kill. You are only practicing at this point.

^So, are you saying that all gun owners who shoot for recreation or sport are practicing to kill? If so, then I find that statement both offensive and frightening. I shoot for fun and sport. I am not practicing to kill anything.

The operator decides what the purpose of his firearms are. So sad that the purpose of yours is to kill.

Speaking of offensive and frightening (and also killing people for recreation or sport), you guys think hank ever got his almost-military-grade sniper rifle?

I’m saying the gun is designed for killing period. You can use as a walking stick if you like but that doesn’t change the purpose.

Please don’t point it at anything you don’t want to kill or destroy. After all it is it’s purpose and the number one rule in gun safety.

I've shot better civilian sniper rifles than military.

I just got an inexplicable Lyman lift with my protektor bags. Hope to use it today.

I’ll likely never kill anything with my rifle. I just target shoot. If need be the thing should be great at rodent headshots and 50 yards and kills at 100 yards. It’s just a .22.

By the way concealed carry typically means you are carrying for defense. If you pull that gun it had better be with full intent to use that gun as it is designed..... to kill.

I hope I never have to, and dread ever having to make that decision. So far I have not. That doesn’t change the purpose of the gun.
