https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/23/entertainment/james-gunn-celebs-support/index.html

An article that shows the massive hollywood support in favor of Gunn.
And also villianizes the source who leaked Gunn's tweets.

CNN
You may have heard of them.

As a side note, this article annoyingly will SHOW the tweet and then TYPE OUT the tweet word for word.

"the only way to blame right wing Nazis"???
You're the only one trying to tag this dude with an identity.
Stop projecting dude...

I heard about this on Thur when I was at ComiCon. Went thru the list of tweets ... Wasn't really bothered by half of it, told my friend he should probably apologize for a couple... Never did it occur to me to try to determine what his politics were.

You try so hard to make a square peg fit in a round hole.

You're trying too hard...that story is one of many among those published by CNN...

The story's premise is that his colleagues, the actors in the Guardian movies, were queried for their reactions and for their opinions of Gunn in light of the revelations of the years old tweets ...this "massive" outpouring of support came from those he worked with on those movies, as was to be expected, just like Roseanne got public support from her co-stars in the wake of her controversial dismissal...

pretty standard angle whenever something like this happens...kinda like Fox News did interviews with O'Reilly's co-workers after his resignation...or the neighbors of a serial killer who say, "gee he seemed like such a nice guy"

Holy crap are you stupid.

Here's a timeline:
I have Comcast internet.
The main screen gives news blurbs.
I clicked on one that sent me to an article on Gunn.
In that article it said that "Right Wing Nazi's" unearthed old tweets by Gunn, who is "known to be very liberal".

Your TDS has rendered you unable to converse without looking to prove a point that doesn't exist.

Stop being so pathetic.

You guys are impossible.

I dislike posts that simply have a link, or even a C&P without an opinion provided by the poster.

Instead of directing you towards links, I created a thread with JUST my opinion on a current situation.

The responses were knee-jerk reactions by those on the left. Because I am conservative a lot of assumptions were formed outside the intent and the words from my original post.
So I offered a single link from a "reputable" source to show an example of what I was saying.

Now I'm to understand that CNN has other stories?? Gasp!
Great sleuth work, Sherlock.

TG, times have changed, this forum has changed. For many years this forum has been a platform for conservatives to expous their point of view and viciously criticize liberals who disagreed with them. Now conservatives seem to be imploding here, and nation wide due to liberals refusing to accept that crap any more. You are not enlightening us with you diatribes, you are acting like a bully who doesn't understand why his tactics no longer work. People will continue to laugh at and argue with you and others here as long as you and others act this way. That you do not find value in liberal opinions is your lose.

WTF are you talking about?

Yes, there has been a change.
There are more liberals here, although most aren't honest enough to admit it out loud.
And that's fine. I live in a blue state. The liberals who have come out of their post-election serenity room are once again my friends and neighbors.
There is no bullying by this conservative.
Or at least none that I can see.
Please show where I bullied anyone here.
I don't mean insult or jab at. I mean bully. Because you said it, and I assume you meant it.
So own it.
Pretend I'm from Missouri and show me.

I don't use "tactics". Another word you say but don't seem to understand. What "tactic" did I use in this thread?
I pointed out an honest opinion and instead of comments on the opinion I hear about how the tweet was bad. And that CNN didn't dedicate all of 2018 on that one story.
The liberals react as if they're circling the wagons, but in actuality they're just spinning their wheels.

frankj1 wrote:

second time I've seen mention of that....who do Asians hate?

:) jk....but

I did know some Asians that disliked blacks for no clear reason...but even that was complicated -- there was some deep rooted animus related more to natives from their own countries than to those of African descent....maybe not animus necessarily, but certainly a feeling of superiority -- and I guess that was racial, but it could extend simply to vastly different skin tones of people that were clearly 90+% the same racial make up....

I know there's a lot of older Asians from countries other than Japan that hate Japanese....but, I'm not sure that's racist exactly....

If I dislike people specifically because they are a certain nationality, is that racist?

Hate (based on things other than views presented in cbid politics) sure can be complicated
