which is a good thing...we don't want to horse collar legitimate journalists from accurately reporting what our government is saying and doing...but we should be mindful of real national security issues being exposed to the detriment of us all...and that journalists who break the law to uncover information for publication should be willing to take the consequences for that criminal behavior...

it's the partisanship thing, that tw keeps pointing out, that makes one side revere this guy, ignoring the danger posed because it was a benefit to the side considered "the good guys".

and yes, it does work both ways...exactly why I sometimes say I don't want everything I want. There would be no good in having a benevolent dictator.

So, why is he one of the good guys?

I'm often on the side of whistleblowers, I don't see him in that role. I'm leaning toward an opportunist who broke into US government security for profit, not to save the world.

I'm not even convinced wikileaks is part of the press...maybe, maybe not. Not gonna matter in this case anyway. Never look at it so not qualified to render an opinion.

what happened to the cons who seemed steadfast in their core values of America first patriotism, flag wavers and embracers, who stand tall for the anthem, and cut kneelers off at the knees ...

cons who accused libs of shape shifting, lacking core values, morality for the moment, expedient flip flopping...and those were the polite invectives...

those cons were totally prepared to rip anyone who dared to reveal America's classified intel...like Manning ....

but he/she wouldn't have had a voice without Assange/wikileaks, so Assange's' role was as a co-conspirator in hacking clandestine US computers and divulging classified info...until 2016...

oh wait...the GOAT POTUS hosted some of the top Russian leaders in the Oval Office, let them bring their own media and translators, shut out US media including TrumpNews, and gave away info about a top-secret US intel operation in the M.E. ...and bragged about it....
