I that the 'old style' band? It doesn't look like it says, 'La Habana, Cuba' on it (missing the La) ...

... if so, it's a fake.

Regardless of the band, if purchased in Cancun, it's more than likely fake...but, I've often enjoyed fake Cohibas more than real ones.

It is a clever fake that I purchased for 10 Pesos. Not a bad smoke for the price. Orginal asking price was about 150 Pesos.

Did you stay at the Riu Cancun?

I was just reading the new edition of "C.A." magazineand noticed that the Cohiba from Cuba pictured on page 183 does not have the "La" on it.

We stayed at the RIU Cancun the last two years. We loved it.

I thought that scenery looked familiar. It is scary that I can tell which hotel a person stayed at just by looking at a photo from their balcony. That may be a sign that I've been there waaaaaay too many times. hahahhaah

We stayed at RIU Cancun last year. Great hotel. My fiance and I are getting married there next summer.
