So ICE rounds up close to 700 illegal immigrants at Koch Foods plants in Mississippi. Ok.....I'm not here to argue the merits of that....What I DO want to know is why the owner and CEO...a Chicago billionaire named Joseph Grendys, is also not cooling his heels in a jail cell right now?

This is the $hit that's gotta change. This f*ck belongs in a prison.

I read about this story yesterday and was wondering the same thing. The article I read didn't even mention the owner.

I agree. He is the CEO and didn’t know that he had 700 illegals employed? No freakin way!!!

Goes far beyond the owner and ceo... Human resource directors, managers, they all share blame and should all face charges...

Employing illegal immigrants is par for the course in the food industry... Keeps prices low...

I say round em all up so we can start buying all that stuff from China...

seriously, we should be doing much more of this, along with jailing some employers and their agents, and deciding if a "legal guest worker immigration program" would be better...

Yep... 680 is a start, but I agree the owner needs to pay a fine so large it will make him never want to employ another illegal.

Prison? Nah, he'll hire a lawyer and do easy time, if any. Fine him and make it hurt so bad it's just barely better to restart than to fold up.

Trump wants a wall. A physical barrier.
I've maintained all along that a "virtual wall" would be a superior option.
Make it so it's not worth it cross illegally.
No services. NONE.
You want medical or food for your kid? Fine. Hop aboard the shuttle and we'll tend to you on your way home.
You want a job? Fine. Work for an employer who risks hefty fines AND mandatory sentencing and see how many are willing to hire you.

If we do this right we'll need to dismantle the wall just to let them back out.

So you think stockholders know of hiring illegals and should be punished by reduced dividends. Also you are good with legal employees potentially suffering due to decreased wages to pay for the hefty fine. And you would legalize giving them health care creating a revolving border crossing whenever they needed healthcare. When did you convert to the Looney left?

I’m with tail. A virtual wall makes more sense.

I disagree with Macs. Fines are a cost of doing business. Prison is a deterrent.

If you want illegal immigration to be criminal rather than civil I think hiring them should be too.

Spey, I heard on the news that one of these illegal workers was 14. Let’s pretend this kid is walking home from work because he’s not old enough to drive and gets hit by a car.

Do we provide him with free care or ship him back to where he’s from broken to pieces? What if someone is crossing the border illegally and gets badly injured by one of our agents? Do they deserve free treatment? Would treating either of these people really be the cause of a revolving door problem at our border?

I’m not making a moral judgement here. I’m just curious as to where you’re at on the issue of free healthcare for illegals?

Used to be some nasty stories of employers of illegals that totally blew off workmans' comp cases, because they knew the risk of the injured reporting anything was zero.

In addition to penalizing (jail, fine, death...haven't chosen sides yet), in addition to convicting for hiring illegals, I hope Homeland brings along DOL and IRS to investigate and punish for every associated labor and tax violation as well.
