I did misread your post a bit but your clarification didn’t change anything. There is plenty of substantiated allegations on both combined with plenty of unsubstantiated smoke. Funny you would find one somehow more palatable than the other and mix your religion in to the reasoning. The politics are the only substantive difference. I hate Clinton, and may hate Trump worse only because he is destroying the integrity of my party. At a minimum they are equally disturbing, but in all honesty I find Trump worse when looking through the filter of my morals and values. Combine that with Clinton not being relevant to today and Trumps crap being contemporary and it’s an easy choice to me. Both bad. One currently relevant. Some using one to provide cover for the other.

All men are flawed. True. Some more than others. True. But that provides no cover for who should be leading our country and no relief for continuing to support it. I’d support trumps efforts to not run again, apologize and ask for forgiveness (not to me). If he seriously felt bad and wanted to make amends for his sins that would be one thing. He makes no apologies and uses the lance Armstrong scorched earth defense thus compounding and continuing things.

Same goes for Clinton, but again he’s no longer relevant nor someone I do or ever did support.

Meh. Gene I know you and I are alike in that we say what we think and it won’t get under either of our skins. I just don’t like my religion or my party used to continue to support this abomination or the hypocracy to try to use another scumbag for cover or justification.

So I've basically been goofing all day. What I really think is this. It has been a long time since a president hasn't done something that he should have been impeached for. Some were better at keeping those actions secret than others were. At the end of the day history will show who was or was not an outstanding president. Maybe Trump is good for the country because he is shaking old school politics every day. What I think of him is irrelevant. It's a good thing to scare the Republican and Democratic machines down to their very core, maybe there is a miniscule chance that they remember that they work for us, not special interests.
