"Firewood ? ;-)"
TUC I didn't see it as a smart a$$ remark and actually there is quite a bit of run off that will be used to heat the woodstove come wintertime... and a few boardfoot of this material I had to plane down for some other project in the future? the moisture content on this lumber when I purchased it was relatively high do to the fact my wood guy only had some select pieces of White Oak in his Basement and although he had it stickered and stacked, it had acustomed itself to the surroundings... when I began plaining the wood down it had a high tearout percentage and I didn't think I could adjust it without massive warpage by leaving it in the sun for a few days.. I got lucky after two days of direct sunlight and moderate humidity levels I was able to get the wood plained down to desireable thickness and begin laying all the pieces out...
this project I shot from the hip on deminsions and layout... the Mrs. hates it when I do that because she cannot view what it is going to/or suppose to look like before I get it all laid out...
