Today tens of thousands of American Patriots converged on Richmond to protest new gun confiscation laws threatened by the New Democrat leadership. Even though the media predicted death and violence the protesters where orderly and peaceful. Unlike leftist protests where tons of trash is left on the streets, the protesters even cleaned up after themselves.

The proposed legislation would outlaw most semi-auto rifles, even many hunting rifles. One piece of legislation would outlaw any semi-auto handgun that COULD accept an extended magazine. That's virtually all semi-auto pistols. The governor has stated that he expects police to go door to door and confiscate all outlawed firearms. If that is not tyranny then what is it? Yet the left tells me all the time that no one wants to take our guns. One of the proposed background check laws would make it a crime if a wife used one of her husband's guns to defend herself, if she did not go through a background check before taking possession of the weapon. It would also make it illegal to try out someone else's gun at the range, or allow your son to go hunting with your shotgun unless a background check was performed prior to the transfer.

Close to 90% of Virginia counties have declared themselves gun sanctuaries and say they will not enforce these new laws. This is going to get very interesting.

I would say God bless you(he created Democrats so I am going to hail satan on this one). Tittums bless every last one of you (whom the Democrats have already labeled white supremacists) of all races and colors that march in support of the second amendment that will allow us to overthrow a Communist government that will one day rule our country. Hopefully, for a very short, and very bloody time.

It is now more important than ever to support the second amendment. A bunch of Southern Democrats tried to overthrow this country and keep slavery and true Americans of all colors had to shoot them to the point of fleeing to California and New York. They threaten to return to take your guns now.

Like all Democrat declarations, I do not have to tell you to go buy more guns and ammo. Their actions probably already have you ordering guns and ammo online right now. Bless you, everyone.

Always remember: The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and anyone who opposes that liberty. Foreign and increasingly in these times, domestic liberal terrorists.

Just so there is no confusion, I reside in NC, about 10 miles south of the Virginia border. Though I currently will not be affected, I have friends in Virginia that will bare the blunt of this confiscation. All The Virginia counties North of me have declared themselves gun sanctuaries. The county just south of mine in NC is holding a public meeting Wednesday night to propose a resolution re-affirming their resident's 2nd Amendment rights. I expect our county to do likewise.

I am hoping they keep themselves safe, in case you need the warning, stock up and make sure you keep you and yours safe as well. We are closer now to a civil war (or as the Democrats have deemed it, boogaloo) than ever.

Yes. It might, unfortunately, require a guillotine at some point, but I would hope not. I do hope that 120,000+ armed individuals will make an impression for now.

Yes and no. They stuck to the basics, and we just weren't prepared to deal with it. Simple works. Tech makes one over confident. We threw a gazillion sensors on the Ho Chi Minh trail, and then dropped another couple of million dollars in bombs on sensor signals. All we destroyed were trees and monkeys. 🤦

No, no it hasn't. It still comes down to a man with a gun. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I'm not going to go into boring ass details, but I watched two guys with a bolt gun and a pistol defeat a site protected by IR, Laser and a plethora of other sensors. With a 4000 year old piece of technology. Yeah. Bring on the tech. Screw that. Give me a smart cat with a plan and discipline.

A buddy of mine, retired ISP, drove out for this this morning. He was outside the States Attorney's offices walking with a sign. He's a good man. Had other friends on the ground there as well. Virginia is the last damned place I'd try this crap. I mean hell, how's that turn in stuff working in New Jersey and Vermont?

I'm not sure they want to back good folks into a corner. That usually doesn't work out well. 🤦

I’m on team USA but I don’t think they were fighting against their own government. I think they were fighting foreign invaders. We had the disadvantage in every way in that regard.

Maybe that’s simplistic though.

Ummm I'm pretty sure the gun law they were protesting was killed a week or two ago.

But hey ... That's no reason not to go marching around a state building with weapons.

Sigh.... A bunch of puppets just getting wound up and sent on their way.

Four facets passed the House here.
- Red Flag laws
- Background checks for gun show sales
- If you don't have CCW permit, you can only buy one handgun per month.
- Towns can make libraries and other municipal places 'gun free'.

I might quibble with the language of the last one, but I am having trouble mustering a whole lot of outrage against the state legislators. I do get pizzed at all the misinformation or misleading information being spouted like in the op.

Dave, there are proposed bills that contain what I stated. Just because they have yet to be passed, does not mean they have not been proposed. Plus Northam has already voiced his support for These bills. These are the bills these Patriots where protesting. Do you think 90% of counties declaring themselves gun sanctuaries has to do with gun show background checks and one gun a month purchase? I have not read the passed so called "gun show background check" but if the wording is the same as one I read, All transfers would require a background check. That means if you hand your gun to a buddy at the range or allow a family member to hunt with your rifle or shotgun without first getting the background check, you just committed an illegal transfer.

Are you aware that Northam has stated that he will fire all law enforcement that will not enforce his new gun laws, and may bring in the National Guard if required? Yes, all this over gun show background checks and one gun a month purchase. Really? Open your eyes my friend. There is one h*'ll of a lot more coming then what you listed. Hopefully the protests have changed the minds of enough legislators to kill these proposed, and Northam supported, confiscation laws.

The DNC is a terrorist organization.

How Virginia allowed Gov. McBlackface to even take office is a joke to thinking people. The birthplace of leadership in this Nation of all places? So much for "Give me Liberty, or give me Death" sentiments. Just pass out the binkies and 2% milk its nap time in the Old Dominion play zone.

This entire rally was a powder keg made by them to explode on MLK Day for maximum exposure for their relentless pursuit of gun confiscation. THANK GOD, that they didn't get their wishes. Hopefully the commonwealth will return to rationality again.

DP, there was a more restrictive bill which redefined what an "Assault Rifle" was, but it died a week or two ago. It's not pending.

Someone is trying to get you to dance.

(For the record, I am not in favor of any of the bills dsteig listed either, but I think all protesting or outrage should be informed protesting or outrage)
