No. I just look around. Look at what's going on, and think for myself.

Everybody has the same opportunities if and I say if, "They are willing to WORK FOR IT!".

Nobody ever gave me crap. My folks were hard working but not wealthy. I made my own way. Everybody can.

Why should the feds take money from me to give to some schmub that doesn't want to work at it?

When all the libs in the country voluntarily turn in 50% of their worth, you come talk to me. Until then it's just all bull**** pie in the sky.

Wait, I mis-spelled the "liberal agenda". Sorry.

Well, if you started from a rich family who connected you, loaned you a couple million and kept you from failing - you would be “somebody” by now. And could tell people that you started with nothing.

Life is hardly fair or equal among people. And the world has never - never - been on the level. Always tilted for those who make the rules, own the judges and hold the important land.

“the first million is the hardest”.

But I think Hitler said that....

50% is ridiculous...neither libs nor cons believe that is a righteous tax....I'd take the 15% capital gains tax rate if it was applied across the board to all Americans, citizen and corporate, without special credits, incentives, exemptions that aren't available to the average American...it is those exceptions that whittle down the effective tax rate for the wealthiest and for corporations, so many don't pay any tax...

Trump himself said he didn't pay taxes because he was smart...

unless 50%, for libs, is part of a progressive plan that is attached to income amounts at a very high level, which was the case in the days when "America was great"...the highest tax rate then was 90% for income above several millions of dollars...

some average opportunities are better than other average opportunities...there are built in disadvantages in our society where some environments don't provide those opportunities...many poverty stricken Americans don't have two working parents...that's just the first hurdle...

I think many hardworking people see the poor around them, some lazy, some not, and figure they largely deserve it because they should work harder, longer, be whiter, whatever. Never seeing how many truly wealthy people never work, or worse just “work” so they can have control and power over others.

“They wouldn’t be rich unless they deserve it, right? Same goes for the poor.”

And the nursery rhyme winds along....

The country has never been fair, and anyone claiming that "everyone has the same opportunities if only they were willing to work" is a f-cking moron of the highest caliber.

That being said, I am not really interested in helping the poor.

I just am disgusted by the people who use "everyone has the same opportunities" bs lines to try to justify keeping their assets and keeping others from getting some of their own.

Grow a pair, be a man, be willing to say "no, I don't want to help others out because I really don't care that much about anyone but myself".

Finally we agree. This is true. Some have to work harder at it than others. But that is there choice. Just like laying around and blaming it on "rich folks" is a choice.

See "life's not fair. Nobody says it's easy. One either reaches down into themselves and says "**** this, I can do this!" or they don't. It's a choice. And it's on every one of us.
