Mayor office is vacant. Choices are...

A local guy, whole family is from this town. He's small business man (owns a popular barber shop).
A career lawyer.
A chick that keeps getting voted in as city council and sits on a bunch of "planning" committees.

Anyone guess where my vote goes?

It's becoming extinct. Don't think I've met the barber personally but I have been in the shop and have taken my son there a few times. It's just down the street from where I used to live, it's a small town of 20k so just about everything is just down the street from everybody.

Yeah, no idea to spell it but it's pronounced in typical New England fashion by not sounding out the "R": GOD-nah

The Chair City
The Gateway to the Mohawk Trail
The Furniture Capital of New England
G-Vegas
Home of the worlds largest chair up until 1979 when they lost the title to someplace in the Carolina's.

Interesting story of this 20-foot-6-inch-tall chair which stands prominently on the front lawn of one of the elementary schools in town. One morning on Sept 11, 2011 it went missing. The local cops (a crack organization or should I say an organization on crack) were mystified for several hours fearing it was taken as a prank. How could someone move a 20 foot chair from the lawn of a school located on a rather busy road in town you ask without the police even noticing until sunrise?

Good question. One that I cannot answer. The mystery was solved when the Mayor informed the police that it was removed that morning to be refurbished and repainted. Way to stay on top of things officers.

I don't know the law.

Is it illegal for states to send out mail-in ballots for federal elections without federal consent?

The states have always had the right to determine how to run the elections. It's one of the reasons that we have such a messed up system of voting. Remember the hanging chad BS? 🌫
