Something is situationally right or wrong. It is neither conservative or progressive untill perceived as such. It certainly is neither Republican or Democrat untill adopted by one or the other.

Believe whatever the hell you want. Karma is a bitch. What goes around comes around. I'm tired of politics where both sides are wrong. Of the people, by the people, and for the people is dead. A tidal wave of chit is coming, whoever wins. Be ready, be prepared, and have your plans in place.

Wow, Biden sucked that much. It could have been much worse if Trump hadn't interrupted him so much Biden would probably have screwed up more. 😰

"Of the people, by the people, and for the people" Silly Lincolnian nonsense talk. Did you know Lincoln borrowed that from a 1850 speech by Theodore Parker, a New England preacher? Lincoln wasn't religious at all, but he did like to grab flowery prose from preachers sermons and speech's. The original line went like this: "a democracy, that is, a government of all the people, by all the people, for all the people"
It's hard to fathom anything of the sort existed in Lincolns time and it's certainly a lie now. The people are not steering the ship of State, all they do is elect the same old Democrats and Republicans who rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.

two images come to mind after reading your posts...

a perturbed and helpless child rolling and bouncing around in the back of his parents' SUV ...while they argue about where to go and how fast, bumping his head and his butt as he slides around as they turn, accelerate, slow down, turn and speed off again ...

the other image is from the Twilight Zone episode, where William Shatner's character is a passenger on an airplane who notices malevolent gremlins actively sabotaging the plane's jet engine and wing...but he can't convince any other passenger that they are doomed...

you gonna vote?

HAHAHHAHHAHAHHA! LOL! WTF! HAHAHAHHAHA!
That's what they said in the Soviet Union before it collapsed under its own weight.
That's what the pullers on the levers of power said before the 2007-2008 financial crisis. Yep, "the economy is strong" they said. Corona Virus...ditto
That's what they always say before every crisis as each time the little people lose more of their liberties and the governments grow bigger and buries future generations further and further in debt.

without looking at the current state of affairs, America has been a model of democratic rule, one that much of the modern world has tried to emulate...

That's the problem....the "democratic rule" part. That religious belief in nationalism and democracy, that pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance. The rudder got lost with the decentralized constitutional republic.
