Miguel Fernandez Roig, La Corona Factory... March 1999 if my research is correct.

However, any true aficionado will tell you that you really cannot be 100% certain via pictures. One must be able to see, smell and taste said cigar before making a definitive determination.

Send me 2 and i'll tell you if they're any good. After all, you can't really make an informed decision after just one...

The round stamp "vendido en Cuba" is used on fake boxes MFG in Canada and sold thru a distributor in Miami,FL. The box is almost certainly fake, sorry. X

See? This is what I mean about knowledgeable brothers, sharing wisdom.

The box code is actually a valid code.

I didn't know about the Canadian thing... good info. I don't buy from Canada.

I was talking the EOG UTCC.

EOG being the La Corona Factory and the UTCC translating into 0399 with the 1999 code, prior to 05/99 when they switched it, yet again.

However, some of the jerks trying to pawn off fakes know what we know, so the only TRUE way to tell is to see, smell and smoke the darn thing.

It all boils down to knowing and trusting whomever it is you deal with, and above all... knowing a fake when you see, smell and smoke one, from a real one.

I am certainly no expert on the subject, but I know enough, based on learning from guys who I trust and my own experience, to say that you can't be sure of anything from a picture.

jcwbnimble... come on down to the Pablo herf and i'll tell you what I know and let you read my Min Ron Nee book. You won't be an expert either, but you'll be smarter than you are today.

The bands do not correspond with the date code. Sorry, but you've got fakes.
