Ran across a news story somewhere that said this campaign might actually be doing Hilary some good.

As far as if she need to be stopped, I'm sure there are strong opinions here.

As for me, the list of political figures who need to be stopped on both sides would kill acres of rainforest just for the paper.

==========================

As you can read for yourselves, the website basically wants to do a media blitz to assert that HC's recent moderate realignment is poltical chameleonry so she can get in the White House and go back to her more extreme ways. The site paints her as dangerous and divisive. And as with any political joust, it claims to speak the TRUTH....in capitals. Perhaps it does.

A little bit of interesting...perhaps irrelavant, perhas not...trivia regarding the head guy of the effort, "veteran Republican operative Arthur Finkelstein" married his gay partner.

Sounds like Hillary and Arthur are a match made in heaven.

Totally untrue... I voted Bush.

I had him pegged as the stupid guy and John Kerry pegged as the corrupt one.

Either way, we lose.

I have a question, since you brought it up. Why does it matter who Finkelstein is married to? I realize that the Democratic party has always put itself out as the pro-gay party and the Republicans are viewed as anti-gay because of the "Religious Right." I just want to know why anyone really cares? If gay people want to be accepted then that sort of statement should be considered a non-factor, should it not?

There are many potential candidates out there who should be stopped. Hil just gets a lot of press because she is so high profile. I used to have quite a bit of respect for her but it all went away after she pulled the whole stand by your man routine. What? She "won't bake cookies" but she would stick with her husband when he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar again? Just more bait than I am willing to swallow, that's all.

ruggysgirl...

the gay marriage thing was something that Bill Clinton brought up according to an article on the site. Upon reading it, I thought it was an interesting fact.

I don't particularly care...but as you say...it is a little out of the norm with the Republican view. As for relevance...guess it depends on who you ask.

Billy, it is an interesting point. Politicos will drag any old thing out of the closet. Both sides do it. Bush was a drunk. Kerry may have committed war crimes. Ford's wife was a lush. LBJ was a sadistic SOB. All of the Kennedy brothers had problems with women. Nixon had issues with paranoia. Get a woman in there and questions will be raised about how many men (or women!) she slept with, whether or not she had an abortion and who does her hair. I think the reason that all of this "stage dressing" goes on is because many of the issues that candidates run on are dead locked, or non-issues. They all - even the independants - regurgitate the same old rhetoric.
