Gonna warm up to 22 today from our single digit early morning numbers and they are calling for a rise above freezing for a few hours Wednesday afternoon.
Yesterday's high here was the same as relatives in Maine had for their low.

Two 2lb flank steaks marinating in plastic bags in refrigerator for dinner tomorrow night.

Leaving soon for a new (to us) Chinese restaurant that is supposed to be the bomb. Reservations for eight at 6:30.

Every Christmas (for like 15 years or so) we do this with my buddy Larry's family when one or both of us aren't out of town; or he isn't called in- in which case he would get up and leave right away. Hope it doesn't happen.

From past experience with my wife’s family, an actual sit down Christmas Dinner is not in their DNA so we’re gonna an appetizer themed night. From what I understand, the dishes will be:

Goteborg musubis
Grilled shrimp
Grilled thin slices of ribeye
Mini Spam musubis for the kids
Potato salad (…not sure why / how that sneaked in there…)
Prime rib bites
Sliced Topshell
Somen salad
Sushi platter

My wife also made some sort of cream cheese - vanilla pudding dessert topped with blueberry and cherry split 50/50 and Cool Whip.

Also playing a couple of games (…Pictionary and something else…) for entertainment.

Probably won’t smoke a cigar tonight so gotta make it up tomorrow.

Winding down the evening. My wife made manicotti, two pans of meat and two pans of cheese, bean salad and fresh fruit salad. A houseful of people all talking at once got might quiet dinner was served.

Morning, folks.

No alcohol for me yesterday, so zero hangover. 😁

Probably going to finish the work bench project today. Home Depot has a butcher block top that will fit perfectly if I have them cut a foot off it. It's 8 feet by 25" and 1.5" thick. I only need 7 feet. $310 after tax.

Good Monday morning gents. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. I seem to have gained a few lbs over the last week prolly due to all the rich food and the cookie exchange the wife brought home.

A real nice sunny 48/74 on tap for the next few days.
