Well, out here in the topographically challenged Midwest, we don't know nothing 'bout no tire chains. Mebbe you use 'em to tow cars out of ditches if you don't have a good tie rod guard to hook to?

Sounds good.

Can't remember the last time I had oatmeal. My arteries might thank me.

I was definitely a kid and it was definitely Mom's decision. I don't believe I've ever volunteered for oatmeal

Am on oatmeal a couple days a week. Quaker Minute Oats better than the whole oats. 1/2 cup of them, and about the same amount of a somewhat healthy apple and cinnamon make for a healthy and semisweet taste.

And stir them every 30 seconds. Not exactly Griener Penal Colony labor, but more work than you’d rather do in the morning, pre coffee.

Don't get me wrong, I always have oatmeal in the pantry. But it's for cooking things like apple crisp and meatloaf and stuff. Other than that I have no use for oatmeal.

Not an oatmeal hater, just not my gig for a breakfast food no matter how you dress it up.

This weekend's menu. A batch of chili and chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Prolly do some steak tips too. Any leftovers will be Tuperwared for lunches.

Had a phone interview this morning for another manufacturing engineering job. Company makes cables, wiring harnesses, connectors and stuff. Sent them my resume on Tues and they wanted to do a screening phone interview by Friday. Did that and a couple hours later got an e-mail from them to set up a face to face interview next week with the hiring manager.

Kinda wanted to land an IT job with the new degree and stuff but seems like engineering jobs are more prevalent in my area at the moment. I'm playing both hands in my deck - entry level IT positions or experienced engineering positions. Getting more hit on the engineering side.
