When politicians talk about tax cuts for "the middle class," what do you think they mean?

How are they deciding who is even IN the middle class?

usually i think they are just pandering for votes.

i would suspect that they are talking about a particular tax bracket...what bracket that is, i don't know...

...and i wouldn't think the tax bracket is a good indication of middle class

poverty or wealth might be clearer by looking at income and tax bracket...but middle class is harder
