Aptly named thread... cuz some of y'all can't get right. 🇨🇮

Mornin' dudes. Coffee'd up... waiting for the "results" and then onto the dog walking... so he can get to his "results".

Looks like the DEDs may be getting a new HVAC. Current one is 14 years old and the copper coil is shot and leaking freon. We could change out the coil but then all the other components would still be old and mismatched.

Looked at our invoice on the old unit (5 ton seer 15) which was $6500. New Train with a higher seer 16 is now almost double.

March snow shoveling in natural air conditioning completed.
Bonus shpo run. 4+ hour round trip.
A sweet $50 extra going into the weekend.
Whoop whoop!

May there be peace within the brotherhood.

64 on the dog walk. Current of 71, headed to 84.

Got an estimate in a half hour for sealing the driveway and patio pavers. Wish me luck on that... Dude said $1.50 a square foot is standard. 3 car driveway and patio. Probably over 1000 sq ft, yeah? 🤦

To do it right requires chemicals for cleaning, power washer, another machine for scrubbing with the chemicals, thorough rinsing, sealing and then finally... using sand (appropriate kind of sand) to fill in the cracks between the pavers. It's a pretty involved process that I have never done and really don't want to do.

I'd prefer a concrete driveway, however the whole neighborhood has paver driveways and patios. Pavers look awesome when cleaned and sealed right. Concrete is much easier to maintain.

We live on a sandy soil that's prone to shifting. Even when properly compacted. That's the main reason why people use pavers.

See? If I pay someone else to do it that ain't my problem, it's his! 🤣

Driveway and Patio combined are 1100 sqft. Quote was for $1,650 but I got a military discount and a cash discount. $1,500 out da door. 😟

Well, the snow is gone now... the snow is now just a green scum line in gutters and drains.

Yup, and I know that place well, it's quite the attraction!

If you ride 1400 miles to Tucson, I hope you get some quality mexican food, too, while you are there.
