Went meat shopping this morning looking for sell by today meats for half off.

Got 12lbs brisket for $25, two whole chickens for $10, 10lb pork butt for $10, 5lb bottom round for $15, and two corned beef flats for $3/lb.

Did well this time. Been striking out the last couple trips.

We need to invent one of those teleporter thingies like on Star Trek. We could materialize at Danm's house, eat his food and teleport back home.

I'm sure HockeyDad can write up a convincing SBIR proposal or somtin' that would cover the costs to develop such an apparatus.

Also, not talking time travel... just a few hours... transport to someone's house, eat their goods, smoke a cigar, shoot the $hit than transport home. I figure about 4 hours round trip... maybe 5 if we stay to help clean up the kitchen and stuff.

Good morning dudes. Defending the final part of my qualifying exam today. Hopefully by the end of the day, I will be considered a “doctoral candidate” and can start collecting data for my dissertation.

Mornin Ya'll.. 35 headed to 54 and sunny...

Man I really FUBARD yesterday, Started boiling eggs for salad for dinner for us when Mrs. got home.. I got busy doing other Chit and forgot the eggs on the stove.. electric stove... by the time i remembered this chit, the house was full of smoke our three fur baby's were at the door all shook up and I walk into the kitchen opening windows in the house as I go and there on the stove counter top and floor was Popcorn Hard Boiled eggs and shell pieces... it looked like a war zone!!! 🤦 🤦 😣 😣

the Mrs. wasnt very happy with me last night... 🤔 🤦 🤦 🤦

Pork butt scored and rubbed

Corned beef flats in water for 24 hours with a couple water exchanges to pull the excess salt out. Wife threw out my seasonings so gotta run to the store for pastrami rub stuff.

Eye of round sliced thin and marinated overnight, put in the dehydrator this morning for jerky.

One chicken and the brisket are in the freezer. Still have leftover brisket from last time for Sundays meat platter.

Much activity in the 'hood getting ready for Masters Golf visitors. Many home have Quanta Services signs out front. It can be lucrative to rent out your home, but I'm not intreested in having strangers in the house.

It was 70 some degrees yesterday.

Today 30's.

I can't wait for warm weather again.
