Gotta step it up a bit such as...

What kind of exercise does Bucky do?

Diddly-squats.

I believe that's a distressingly common issue for the folks on this forum

………………………………………lotta bs that danm shouldn’t hafta deal with……………………………………………… Only thing I'm concerned about is the tranny of course. I wanted a 2020+ Ridgeline with the ZF 9 speed because the 6 speeds had issues. Didn't realize until after I got home that it's a 6...

It’s clear that you want to maintain a long term relationship with your tranny guy.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.

We just want you to be happy… 😟

Mornin Ya'll... 64 heading to a high of 77 today and sunny... my kinda weather!!!

I started working on my retirement paperwork from the Inactive Ready Reserves, had to do a whole new login process for the TSP (Thrift Savings Plan) retirement fund. of which I hadn't messed with since 2004. left in Gfund (Government Secured) back then it was gaining like 6% interest, yesterdays look was 1.6%. I was going to transfer it all over to my Schwab account, but friends/former co-workers say I can leave it alone in the TSP and let it draw even after retiring out... this has me stumped because my Federal TSP account I had to close and withdraw or move back in 2004 when I retired out of Federal Service, things/rules and laws must have changed over the year? I'm down with that.. less issue to deal with. Once our economy gets back to a positive note I'll switch it up to the Cfund non secured and play the markets again... 🇨🇮
I met with a local VSO on my retired military pay and VA claims.. when I turn 60 I'll be drawing somewhere around $427 a month Military retirement. haven't told the Mrs. yet, but I'm thinking of using that as payment for a New Harley Trike for our travels... she's wanting a frickin Toy Hauler camper so we can load the bike and our Boy's (Pups) and go camping and exploring and take them with us. Not if we are moving to sunny FL in our future, our boys are up in age, Dallas is 11, CJ is 10 and Max is 9. and she says no more pets after they are gone... can't see spending 40-60K for a toy hauler? IDK...

Rant mode **ON**

I hate insurance companies. Trying to get the status of my son's insurance claim for his accident 3 weeks ago. They deemed it a total loss but for some reason they had it towed to two different places for assessments. WTF is up with that? Insurance company dragging their feet to close out the claim. Just got off the phone with them and they told me to call back on Monday. The insurance adjuster who is handling the claim will be in the office from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM M-F but on lunch from 1-2 PM, if she doesn't answer leave her a voice mail.

I have no problems with someone working their regular hours and taking lunch and stuff but why is there only one single person at the insurance company that is qualified to deal with the the claim? Do they work on commission and someone else can't handle it while Nichole Nance is out of her office (phone number 855-627-**** extension 15205)?

**** is redacted so she doesn't get a bunch of phone calls from you guys while I try to get in touch with her on Monday.

MAPFE Insurance, a regional insurance company, SUCKS donkey richards! Prolly look into something like Liberty Mutual, Geico, or Progressive for a new insurance plan for him this next time around. Something that has customer service 24/7 that can address issues.

This experience is unacceptable.

In my mind it should go like this...
Week one: car accident.
Week two: Adjuster evaluates the car and deemed it as totaled.
Week two + two days: Check is in the mail for fair market value minus deductible. I'm sure they have tables or using Kelly Blue Book to determine fair market value. It's not rocket surgery. Prolly 15 minutes of paperwork to do.

We had it towed to the place they recommended back in week one for assessment. They determined it was totaled on week two. Why do they have to tow it to another place different places for assessment and add an additional week?

They assessed it as totaled on week two. We're not haggling or disputing the assessment, just cut me a check so we can move on.

I had one of my commuter cars in a fender bender (kinda similar thing, clipped by a guy cutting me off while he was trying to merge into commuter traffic, took out my bumper and passenger side quarter panel but was still drivable with some duct tape to hold the bumper in place). The other party was deemed at fault so it was on his insurance. Two days later the adjuster was at my house to evaluate the damage, determined it was totaled and a check was mailed to me within a week.

Wasn't a decision taken lightly.

5klbs towing and 1700 payload. Payload is higher than the f150 I was considering.

Not great but plenty for my current situation. It's enough to put my flatbed on there and get a yard of dirt, or tow wife's car on my trailer, plenty campers sub 5k.

If you can get past the not a truck thing it's a great truck ish.

Just got done debadging it. Goes to the window tint guy on Monday. Aftermarket speakers and amplifiers/signal processors and stuff need to happen soon too. Sounds like crap over half volume and still isn't very loud.

Appraisers are always on the run with 1-3 new assignments per day and lots of travel all around.

Collision claim/property damage adjusters are very busy, over-worked and have too many files. They are usually just starting out as noob adjusters

The second tow was probably to minimize the daily storage fee by transferring it from the lot of the shop that can't do repairs on it (this is one way they still make up to $30/day) to the insurer's own storage facility or at least a less expensive one until they can auction it or someone buys it for parts or scrap.
