Morning. Few errands to run, packing to do, then back to the land of corn and basketball

Corn sounds good.

Wife n boy out of town for a night. They won't eat corn anyway so I think I'll go pickup a ribeye and some corns.

I picked up some boneless and skinless chicken thighs. Grilled 4 of them with salt n pepper and added that to a salad.

The rest I chopped up with chicken liver, beef liver, sweet taters and peas n carrots... put all that in the crockpot for da puppy dog. I'll add rice about an hour before it's done.

Haven’t tried them yet.

The third CFA location in Hawaii (…2nd on Oahu…) opened last week but it’s a drive-thru / walk-in pick-up only store. Have no desire to wait in the l-o-n-g lines just for a sandwich and fries.

And considering the Christian beliefs of the founder and organization, did you use “religiously” as an intended pun? 🤔

Never been a big fan of CFA. High prices & long lines here at our 2 locals. 🤦

First steak I've made first steak I've eaten as an adult. This is damn tasty. Wish I'd tried it sooner.

Finally got tired of truck stop 💩 posing a food. Went by a Wally World in BFE North Carolina and bought a crock pot. Of course they didn’t have a fresh meat or produce section. WTF??? So I had to go across the street to a Food Lion. Bought a chuck roast, some taters, carrots, onions and garlic. Threw it all in the crock pot with some beef broth and some Tony Cachere’s. It was yummy. Gonna eat good for a few days.

As to point 1 - He's spoiled. He had a DQ cone today, too. I can spend around $15 to make a full crock pot that'll last a few weeks. I put the food in 3 containers and freeze 2. When one runs low, I defrost one, etc... 1 cup kibble, 1 cup of the good stuff mixed with it, twice a day. He's maintaining his weight better than I am.

As to point 2 - I much prefer CFA to In-n-Out. I never understood the fascination with that particular chain.

Choice ribeye... kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper all over it. Let it sit on the counter for a couple hours. Cook it over flame for about 3-4 minutes a side. when it hits 125-130 temp... let it sit for 10 minutes and eat it.

Or... season it the same, vacuum seal it and sous vide it for a few hours then sear it.
