Getting my annual vehicle inspection scam done.

RAM, just tell them zero down and to work the deal out that way, if one of the deals offered isn't already zero down. These have all been Honda published factory specials at my local dealerships. YMMV

Thanks Robert, every time I checked Honda leasing specials always had #3,399 or similar down.

We may be nearing the end of the car shopping junket.
The budget is now updated a few thousand dollars and can a-Ford the next level up- a Ford Edge.
Ironically, or not so much she is selling her Ford stock to help pay for this slightly less inferio Ford product. The 2014 Edge doesn't have the coolant or engine block cracks like the Escapes. Instead, the achillies heal is "only" transfer cases ($2,000) and aften transmissions.

Shared that with mom. Couldn't figure out the wierd nonverbals she was giving. Guess one was a miss. Got it right on the second guess. Is it you really don't want to get this inspected, and you just want to buy this one to get this all over with?

A timid nod was the respose.

In a matter of fact way, she reflected- I'll likely be dead in two or three years. Hopefully is runs well for that long.

I get it, mom. I get it.

My mom used to work for a Honda dealership and we have used the very same salesman for like 15 years and I used to be friendly with the head finance guy- who we only worked with, too.

They taught me "The Honda Lease Game"- New Accords only depreciate 2k the first year and 1k each year thereafter. Often they are worth more than the buyout after 2-2.5 years.

Also works for high-end pilots and CRV. Don't know about civic.

Salesman is always looking to put me into a nicer model or newer model- with my payments remaining the same or lower. For example, when the Accord Sport Special Edition came out he told me it was going to very limited and there ore worth more money, but had the same purchase price of the next model down.

You just need to watch out for a factory offer deal on the dealership's website every week or two until what you want is on sale at the right time of month and/or year and price. Also, I only lease at the end of the model year for that year's model during the fall when the next year's model is out and they are "dumping" the old year model.

We used to drive the big Volvo sedans and had several. Same thing with them.

If you are looking for a new Honda and want my help, LMK.

Then get her a new car to enjoy without any hassle to buy/lease based using a factory sale this time of year.

The boy is in town for a couple days. We were able to completely surprise his mom.
Went for a ride yesterday and a long walk. Getting caught up on things.
Last night, we knocked out a few South Park episodes. Hadn't seen the one where they slay Scientology. Good stuff.

Grilling sausages today. They just left me behind for Costco. Will hold down the recliner and watch some college football.

Thanks Robert, waiting until this time period next year when lease is up on the Jeep I am leasing. Considering the buy out when lease ends. Depending on the deal they offer will look into leasing or buying a Honda. 🤔

Appreciate your input.

Good luck Eight with your delimia and enjoy your time with your son.

As usual... please extend my regards to MP3.

Mom seems to be set on Ford, eh? Oooof. Honda/Toyota would be much better options for used vehicles, but she wants what she wants, I suppose. You're honoring her, which is all ya can do, bruddah.

New owner of a cat. Neighbor is looking to move to Florida and wanted to find a good home for their cat so I said I would take it on. Average size indoor cat. Pretty friendly but was kind of freaked out earlier today since he's in a different home. Probably take a couple days to get used to the new place. He's sleeping on the couch now so maybe it won't take that long.

Went to the fall festival in town. Nobody needed an ambulance after the street luge races this year. I don't think anyone crashed. The Green Machine team are this year's champions. Was pretty fun but after a hot dog, Italian sausage and a couple fried doughs... I think the cat has the right idea. Time for a cat nap on the couch.

Good Saturday evening to All! My wife and I shot in our Augsta ARA Club match, twelve shooters and Mrs. Gene was the top shooter. Not sure about my finish, probably the middle of the pack, we had to get gone to see our granddaughter and her HS band in a competition.

Well done Bucky =d> Kitty cat 🙀 sounds like he will be fine. When we brought Jesse home from the SPCA she made a run for our bedroom and went under the bed and stayed for a while
Came out looking around and was fine.

Yeah, when I rescued Phoebe she was skittish and kept to herself for a few days. Then she was always near me, in my lap, on my bed... meowing at me... bringing me dead animals...

She was a great cat for over 19 years. Very inexpensive, too. She went to the vet 3 times. Once to get spayed, once when she got sick, and the last time to go to kitty heaven.

Tank the puppy dog...? He's as expensive as having a damn kid.

MP3 smiled at the MP3 comment and returns a happy hello.

Made brats today and then knocked out a supplemental walk to our earlier dog walk.

Arsenal won and Manchester City lost, which is the best possible outcome.

Having an average cigar, but a tasty tequila drink. Watching a clunker of a game in ND @ Duke.

Got floated to another unit again tonight. It's turning into a monthly thing. Of the 6 nurses working this floor tonight only 2 work on this unit. I dont know why anyone would work here. We got a new ceo a year ago he cut out things like secretaries and nurses aides saying the nurses can do it all. He also increased the ratios so every nurse has 5 patients. When I started these floors were 3-4 patients per nurse now it's 5-6 and no help and gotta do a lot more for the patients. It's 2am I'm just now taking a bathroom break. Came in at 1830.
