Jasper most likely under bed:-k

Found him earlier this afternoon. He was hunkered down behind a dresser. I'm amazed on how cats can get into things that seem too small to get into. They are pretty sly animals. He's sleeping on the couch again.

Another thing I like of him is he is not declawed. All the cats I had over the years were not declawed. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn down having a declawed cat but I'm not a fan of cutting off their fingers unless it's necessary.

Honey garlic chicken turned out well. I've done honey garlic chicken numerous times before but I tried a different recipe this time. Basic recipe is the same just a twist on the ingredients. Lemon juice as the acid and more oregano and basil. My recommendation would be to add some rosemary though.

I'll probably drift off to sleep while watching Sunday night football. KC is up winning at the half. Patriots got smashed and they need a different QB.

Bucky for sure, Jessie likes under or on our bed and climbing on the window sill in the bedroom.
Want to have fun with the kitty, place an empty box on the floor and see if he climbs in it.

Buckster - 100% agreement on declawing of cats. Phoebe tore up carpet on my stairs and I still would not declaw her. Self defense... and she had a cat door, so she was outside a lot.

62 on the chase to 83 today.
Loading up for a day at the shpo.
Wonder what I will learn today?

What I learned last night? Im going to have a tough time watching the Chiefs. Think I saw less of Patrick Mahommes than I did Taylor Swift.

87F/70F with winds at 18/25 mph. Mostly cloudy. No more scattered showers today- I think. Humidity is an almost pleasant 64%.

Dental cleaning this morning followed by a trip to the tile store to return the sample we chose and a swim workout.

Shower rebuild and retile started out with the shower and glass only- and has morphed into the shower + removing the 70" Roman Tub next to the shower, raising that part of the floor to be level with the bathroom floor, and a a freestanding soaking tub on a tile mosaic that incorporates both the shower tile and the existing bathroom floor trial we have left over from 15 years ago.

More than twice what I budgeted for the shower. alone. But, we live here now,, and we would need to redo it to sell the house without taking an equal or bigger hit in the future, so we figured we better re-do it now- and enjoy it.

Waiting for contractor to ask me for a check so he can order everything and get started!

Nothing else going on today until MNF

Yeah, was 74 on the walk before the sun even came up... 83 now.

Later today getting a quote for turning my lanai into a sunroom. Then I can hook up the portable AC unit and sit in there when it's hot outside and smoke cigars. :)

Landfill fire has been burning in the area for a day or two, my nose is dead to me. It must be going out, I justed stepped outside and finally didn't smell anything.

The irony is that it was a "green landfill" fire. I just spent the last 36 hours inhaling the 'carbon offsets'.

Ding, dang Daisy!

I told the wife it'd probably be 5k to convert the lanai to a sunroom... she says, no way it'll be 10k. She was right.

$10,832 in fact... but I did a little finagling and haggling, and got discounts and such... 8k total, including all permitting and inspection. *big sigh*

Still more than I wanna pay. 🤦

You don't wanna breath that smoke. It's coming from the Indian reservation landfill and it's a "green landfill" on the surface only. I have 1st hand knowledge of what is buried there prior to EPA regulations. 😰

let Frankie and Drafter know...they can rest easier knowing their "landfill" is going up in smoke...
