So sad.

It was also sad that his old teammate Curt Shilling took it upon himself last week to announce Tim’s illness against the families wishes. Such a shame..and CS is a ******

Didn’t hear anything about that. Saw it on a news scroll.

You don't wanna breath that smoke. It's coming from the Indian reservation landfill and it's a "green landfill" on the surface only. I have 1st hand knowledge of what is buried there prior to EPA regulations. 😰

I wish I had a choice... I can only imagine what was in that dump. The whole NE side of town stank since Sat AM. It smelled like every toxic mobile home fire I have ever been to.

On the bright side, all my hair fell out in clumps so I wont need to spend money on haircuts anymore...

He was one of my favorite Red Sox players in the modern era. There was a documentary that I watched a few years ago called Knuckleball! that featured the long lost trade of throwing a knuckleblall. Wakefield was one of the best.

If memory serves me correctly the featured pitchers were Tim Wakefield, R.A. Dickey, Phil Niekro. It walked though their careers and some science on the different types of knuckleballs thrown. Wakefield started out in the minor leagues as 1st baseman but his agent talked him into becoming a pitcher throwing knuckeballs. Some days the ball was on target, other days not so much. It's an unpredictable pitch. Even the pitcher didn't really know where it was going after it left his hand. Depended a lot on the weather and the wind. Not only did hitters hate the knuckleball but so did catchers. The All Star catcher, Jason Varitek, had trouble catching the unpredictable pitch. When Wakefield pitched for the Sox they had to keep a personal catcher on the roster for him who was better at catching his pitches.

It was an interesting watch and I'd recommended it. I think it was on Amazon Prime.

RIP Wakefield

Happy Tuesday fellas.

Picked up overtime tonight. The only nurse who could be in charge called off so I picked it up. Plenty other staff on, I'll probably spend 12 hours playing solitare on my computer and get paid overtime for it. Lil extra money to pay the deductible for wife's car. Dropping it off Thursday to get fixed.

Look forward to relaxing today. Maybe do some house cleaning. We'll see...

Landfill fire has been burning in the area for a day or two, my nose is dead to me. It must be going out, I justed stepped outside and finally didn't smell anything.

The irony is that it was a "green landfill" fire. I just spent the last 36 hours inhaling the 'carbon offsets'.

I'm thawing out some pork belly... cube it up, salt/pepper and then in they go tomorrow.

This puppy is also a dehydrator. Gonna have to find a good beef jerky recipe and test out that feature.
