So I adopted a cat from a neighbor. Great cat. Warm and loving, loves to be pet and stuff. With that said, I swear he's a reincarnated Dracula dog. Its franking midnight. I'm finishing up stuff and getting ready for bed and he's bringing me one of his ball thingies with a jingle bell in it. Carries it in his mouth and drops at my feet and stares at me. He's probably been sleeping all day so the night time is his day time.

I wonder what he does when the house is sleeping or when us humans are working. If he had thumbs I'd give him some chores to do or something.

When I die, and if there are reincarnations, I'd like to come back as a cat or dog living with someone who likes cats and dogs.

The Sun is rising here in MA. Put on the news to see the weather. Learned that they found that POS dude that shot up Lewiston, Maine, He was found dead with a self inflicted gun shot.

Kill 18 people, injure 13 others then shoot yourself? Sadly he did the sequence of events backwards.

Saved the Maine taxpayers some money by offing himself, though. Glass half full.

Mornin' dudes... went to bed after 10, woke up at 0645 and I'ze late for the puppy dog walk. 🌫

Morning gents. Nice 61/84 on tap. Gotta shine up the '65 Vette for car show this afternoon. Buddy has a car he wants to sell so we will get there early for a good spot. I generally keep my classic cars for many years but he buys one, drives it for a few months, then sells it and looks for something else that interests him.

Yesterday was Weather Transition Day. 63 degrees (12 degrees above normal) in the morning. We lost 30 degrees in the next 12 hours. 35 degrees, wind chill (wc) making it feel like 30. High today- 35.

Overnight lows the next 3 or 4 days in the mid 20s.

Don't like it when Fall ends prior to Halloween.

When we first got married, my wife wanted a dog. I was pushing for a chinchilla. She stood fast for a dog and we've been on the greyhound road ever since. Lucky too, as we later learned chinchillas are nocturnal.

There's your solution, Bucky. Get a chinchilla for your cat toplay with at night.

Agreed but if you're determined to off yourself, why kill 18+ innocent people first? Makes no sense to me. If you're gonna do it, seek help. If that doesn't work, kill yourself first before you go and kill others. The guy did it totally backwards.

On a completely unrelated topic, thinking tacos for lunch and then chicken Cesar salad for supper. I'll have to do a grocery store run. Need some romaine lettuce.

Packers vs Vikings tomorrow. Gonna have to pick a VPN location somewhere in the Midwest since they wont be streaming the game here in MA.

Never had a chinchilla. Friend of mine back in college had a couple of ferrets. They were pretty cool but also very mischievous in hording and hiding things.

Wouldn't mind trying a ferret but I'm not familiar with raising them. For now Jasper the cat (I didn't name him, I would have picked out a cooler name like Nitschke) works out just fine. Plus the cat might think a chinchilla or ferret is a rat or something and would mistakenly kill it after he's done playing with it. On positive note, he grew up in a house with a dog so he's dog compatible if that happens in the future.

While running errands, drove past Tractor Supply and there was a Backyard Butchers freezer truck that was selling meat from the truck. $39 for 40 ribeyes caught my eye. Worth a stop to check out.

First sign of fail was the dude I talked to came across as a salesman or like watching the shopping network in real life (don't blame him, that's his job). Tried to sell me $400 of various beef cuts and if I buy that, they will toss in various with cuts of chicken and pork for no extra charge.. Vacuum packed in single servings. The presentation looked yummy but yeah, no... I don't have freezer space to store 40 lbs of meat.

Ribeyes looked good so I bought the $39 for 40 ribeyes. Got home and opened the box and they are like 1/4" thick... fail. They will make nice steak sandwiches or diced up for chili or stew but too thin to for a steak dinner.

Live and learn.

Made another 2 lbs of beef jerky. That stuff is really, really good when ya do it yourself.

Teriyaki, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, garlic, cayenne, honey and red pepper flakes. So damn good.
