Nice sunny day here and a string of 70s coming this week.

The Barret-Jackson starts Saturday and runs all next week about a mile from our house. Wifey wants to go this Saturday which is preview day and younger brother will be going with me later next week. Her favorite Corvette from last year sold for $750K so she has really good taste in cars but less so in husbands. 🤦

Making a giant batch of jambalaya. 2lbs chicken, 1lb sausage, 1lb pulled pork, 1lb shrimps, 3 bell peppers,1 whole celery, canned tomato paste and smashed, 2 big onions, whole garlic bulb, and an assload of rice.

Should be enough food to get me through the work week.

Boys got an e-learning day today cause it's too cold for the busses. We're up to zero, getting warmer.

Ex sent me pic of her car last night. They got enough snow to cover the windshield. Probably less than a quarter inch. I think it’s been 7 years or so since the last time it snowed back home.

Still going stir crazy stuck at home and nothing to do. Went to the grocery store twice today, picked up the garage some, took trash and recycling to the street, went to the carwash and knocked some of the dirty ice off my car now I have soapy ice instead.

Gotta stay up tonight too, back to work tomorrow night. Or just go in on no sleep again. I really hope I get the new job. I'll hate working 5-7 days a week again but I think I hate nightshift enough at this point it's worth it. Probably be saying something different come summer when I don't have every other week off anymore. Or maybe they don't give me the job or my department refuses to release me and I just keep doing the same thing. I don't know

It's an enclosed side porch. It's not out front just sitting there to the visible eye from the street or sidewalk. You'd have to walk up the driveway and enter the porch to see it. I do have it locked to a eye bolt for the outside chance that a bad guy did that. I'm sure they could get it if they worked a bit or brought a Dremel tool but they would likely look for an easier score.

I live in a small quiet town. I could probably leave it unlocked in front of the garage and it probably wouldn't disappear especially in the winter. I'm not worried about it getting stolen. I just want to be able to get the battery lock picked so I can bring the battery inside to charge it and keep it out of the frozen temps.

Once I get it unlocked off the bike, I can see the connections, the battery model number and stuff then look to scope out and buy a second battery. Not that I need a 2nd battery but it's good to have a backup but need to know the battery manufacturer and model number of it so I can order the right one.

It's colder than a witches titty back in these mountains.

A bit warm where you are buddy. Woke up to a balmy 5 degrees with chill it’s -1. But, I’m certain where a bit warmer than some of the other folks around here.

On the other hand, I pulled out of Siler City, NC and ran north a half hour until I hit I-40 west. I had planned to layover in Jackson, TN but I made good time and made it all the way to West Memphis, AR. Turns out had I stopped in Jackson I’d been about 15 minutes from Numi.

Since I’m running a load for perhaps our largest customer. That shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a weekly run that it finalizes in Las Vegas on Friday. In order to make Vegas on time it requires three full 11 drive shifts plus another couple hours on Friday. To make sure drivers have enough time it departs at 10:00 AM on Tuesday. With normal traffic I can make Jackson by 8:00 PM. That’s a little late, but still early enough to enjoy a cigar. So we decided that once it warms up a degree or two I’ll have to stop.

HHD peoples. After reading about those temps I'll just keep my mouf shut. Stay warm.

Almost 10am... already went to the gym, but it's still only 34 degrees out there.

Welp... gonna have to suck it up and do my duty so Tank can have his walk and do his doody. [frypan]

It was down to 18 here this morning and that be really cold for LA.

It did allow me to have my favorite cold weather meal last night, homemade chilly, cheese burger and a beer.

It was so good that I will have a re-do tonight.
