This applies to AT&T customers only. You can trade in any old smart phone for one of the new S24 models. The phone does not have to be in working order and the offer applies to new customers as well as current customers. I traded in a Samsung S5 Active that came out in 2014.

Only catch is that you extend your current contract for three years. And for a new customer I'm guessing you would sign a contract for three years. You have to pay tax on the phone and in my case purchase a new type charging cube. Long story short, I got a new S24 for $48 and my youngest cub picked up a S24+ for just tax.

The offer has been running for sometime and I'm not sure how long it will be available.

I should do this. My s6 is a bit long in the tooth and the battery life sucks.

It is not a bad deal. Only down side is even with 100% data transfer, one may have to re-sync a device or two and or re-login to a few apps. Other than this, it is painless.

If that S24 is as big of a POS as the S22 you'll regret the decision to upgrade in 3, 2, 1...........

Hands down the worst phone I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

My Verizon Samsung S23 works great and it was a free upgrade too.
Well.. the second one anyway, my original had a battery meltdown within the first year, but that was replaced under warranty/

The S24 does not appear any larger than the S8 Active that I was using. However, the S24+ and S24 Ultra were larger.

From my standpoint the Samsung products are more reliable and last longer. This is my third smartphone since 2015, all Samsung's, and my wife is on her 4th or 5th I phone during that same period. The S8 Active I replaced was still working but this was a great deal. The S8 is now in the drawer.

They may be able to transfer the music to the new phone unless it is on itunes.

If you have Android Auto the new S24 will probably pair its self. On my truck it paired to the Ford link or whatever it is called and the Android Auto on it's own.

No need to wait. Just keep telling them what you want, only takes about 10min. Eventually they will break, though sometimes it's at 6 month intervals.

On and sometimes you have to request a representative from the US.

I went to the store to do the thing. Guess my old unlimited plan doesn't count. It's unlimited, but throttled after 30gb data use. The new unlimited plan is throttled whenever network is busy. Don't see how that's an upgrade for me.

To get the phone I'd have to upgrade to the new unlimited plan and do autopay. Did learn I'm missing out on a 25% nurse discount, so gotta go back with wife tomorrow to change the account over to my name to get the discount. Can't do autopay though cause her mom and brother are on her account and they make their own payments to att. Suppose they could just repay me but we've had this arrangement for like 10 years. They view the bill and pay 25% each.
