I got some of these on a bid I was happy with. Took me several tries to get it. They’ve only been resting for a week. What is your opinion of this blend?

80898: Punch Rothschild Oscuro 4.5 x 50 it was paired quite nicely w/cream soda. These are the cigars I’ve been smoking since mid-90’s and I still like it.

I appreciate the feedback on the Partagas and Camacho. I’m looking forward to trying those Camachos but not looking forward to finishing the Partagas lol

I've smoked one every New Years Day, since 2014, to celebrate the anniversary of my Liberty from The Man -- I retired on December 31, 2013.

hmmm...food for thought...but growing up, kids in the hood referred to getting a job and getting paid as working for The Man...as opposed to working for yourself/being self employed...

In that context, working as a salaried employee, even as a department head, it never occurred to me that some of my co-workers would think of me as The Man...

My work was in the field of campus law enforcement for a public school district and then a couple of community college districts, so I'm guessing the students and some of the staff thought of me as The Man...I heard "Five O" whispered behind my back plenty of times walking on campus...

80901 - Nica Libre toro. Not an elite cigar, but solid, and a good bang for your buck. Just a couple of years ago, 5ers of these were $7-$9. I still have about a box. It's one of my "noob trap" buys that I'm glad I made. They will get smoked.

80902 AJF Last Call maduro

Jeebs, the triple maduro is a staple in my rotation. Always good, always well rolled, always a pain to remove the damn ginormous band.

They are good at auction prices but no way in hell would I pay retail for them.

I never had the pre-Davidoff Eiroa version so I can't wax nostalgic, but I like to let them sit for at least three to six months before I smoke them.

Early on I bought a ton of the Sancho Panza double maduro (and Brazilia, Antano, etc.) but found the double maduro to be about one third lacking in maduro-ness.

80902: Hoyo La Amistad AJ Fernandez Robusto 5.2 x 54
Definitely not the dog rocket the first 3 out of that fiver were. Nutty, toasty, salty and sweet with a bit of pepper in the back half. 45 minutes.
