Nice review JGRAZ. Truly provokes a little curiosity from the reader and I think that is a great aspect of this type of blind encounter.

Nice one JGRAZ! This is fun to read especially because I know exactly what cigar it was. Looking forward to hearing about the other two.

Cigar #2 courtesy of Papa Dub

Dark brown Maduro measures at 5.2" and roughly 48 ring. Smooth wrapper bit oily slight chocolate smell with same on the cold draw. V cut and paired with seltzer.

First:
Mild pepper comes first. A little earthy with some type of wood. Smooth flavor around medium. Maybe some damp earthy hints. Burn is solid but ash seems dirty grey with a bit of brown.

Second: Pepper goes away. Getting a bit of chocolate and a touch of sweetness. Wood comes up a bit more and reminds me of freshly dampen Spanish cedar. Which I guess makes some sense. Towards the end of this 3rd I needed a tough up as the burn line tripped up a bit. Also I started to pick up some kind of dried fruit, dark fruit.

Third: Another touch up when it started to tunnel. Right after that I placed the fruit as prunes. Mostly getting the wood and dried fruit. Deep flavor but not super intense. There is a still some sweetness but it's very light to me. My tongue is getting a bit of peppercorn. Remind me more of green peppercorn. Not getting it on retro though. Fleeting tastes of chocolate here and there. Almost went out on me with 1.5" left. Relit and got some immediate flavor that reminded me of fresh figs, not the sweetness just the earthy fruit. Also picking up some dark bread flavors. Went out again with about 1" left. Didn't light again.

Total smoke time 90min
I enjoyed this much more then #1. But last third wanted to tunnel a couple of times and I needed to touch up and re-lite. This seemed more complex. I feel like I should know this one. Padron 0000?

Now here this…

LEEBOT BOX PASS W/TWIST SPRING ‘24

Leebo hit me with a random act of violence. In the box I found a very interesting bag of coffee from a local Philly roaster. I’m retired Navy so you can guess I drink a lot of coffee and it is my favorite pairing with cigars. Thank you , Lee for a very thoughtful local treat to share with me. I’ll think kindly of you when I’m sipping coffee and puffing on the incredible gift of cigars you’ve sent me.

As for the cigars, 17 total, I’ve got 3 good looking mystery sticks which I’m champing the bit to investigate. Leebo sent me a Cuban Cigar, a Partagas Short aka Party Short for all you noobs out there (sniff! 🥸). I’ve recently read about these and of course I can’t get them so I’m thrilled to have this gem in my collection. And you better believe it will be smoked and not hoarded. I’m often talking about Aging Room and asking a lot of questions about aging cigars. I can’t find many of the Aging Room blends I want to try and I’m on the “email me” list on many sites for some of these that Lee sent. They are all well aged and some are limited editions and / or no longer in production. Well aged and beautiful.
AGING ROOM:
Core Maduro / NH
Solera Sungrown / NH
Solera Corojo / NH
Rare Collection- expensive and hard to find / NH
Bin #2 - expensive and impossible to find / NH
T112 a beautiful and rare treat / NH
Quattro Original- well aged treat, my favorite cigar
Quattro F55M - when they re-banded the Quattro

OTHER CIGARS, all old AF and smell absolutely gorgeous, yellow stained cellos:
Montecristo Afrique - out of production / NH
Torańo Signature from 2006 / NH
Holt’s Dominican from 2005 / NH
Indian Tabac Classic from 2005, I’ve read about this / NH
JR Edicion Limitada from 2008, I don’t think they make this blend anymore / NH

Truly a generous gift from Lee, thank you Brother! Very special to me because you know what I’m interested in and put together Aging Room and well aged cigars for a spectacular and personal treat. Thank you, Lee!

Tiver I get a funny result too. It’s a wonky tracker from an old post office in Goldsboro Md. I just dropped it off this morning so give it a day to see what happens

I felt ok there for a minute not be the dead last sender, until I was.

Cheno, box heading your way. ETA Mon, which is a long time to go about 40mi. Should've looked into the Pony Express

Or something to that effect. Those numbers are really small

9114 is a “label 400” tracker. Asked my mother she worked at the post office over 30 years. March has been a year since she retired. Those people still call her daily asking her stuff. She explained more and how and when they use this. It’s all over my head but she got excited when I ask postal stuff
