Added value is pretty straight forward and not subjective at all. Robert is correct in that it needs to be defined. Is someone a net positive to our economy or a net negative? This is 2023, not 1823. We do not need additional people to grow our economy. Get over all are equally wanted, this is unrealistic.

Why would you want someone lazy with no skill set who comes here to live on welfare and medicaid? Why would you not want a neurosurgeon sho adds a significant skill set? We would you not want someone who is a laborer who wants to fick produce?

Let's say we need x hotel maids. You are x+1, we do not need you. Or you are brick layer. You are x+10,000. We really do not need you. On the other hand you are a lawyer. You are x-100, we need you. Or you are a produce laborer. You are x-10,000, we really need you. It breaks down to very simple statistical analysis.

There are a small percentage of people unable to understand this. Whoosh, it goes right over their heads.

I agree with this. My understanding is that the immigrants would necessarily be screened to ascertain these details that match labor market statistics. As an aside comment, I’ll say that what we don’t need or have any shortage of is a bunch of graduate Sociologists and Marxist economists. We are not lacking in those.
