I worked in the armory when I was a Master-at-Arms in the Navy. Then I went to small arms instructor school.

I've fired a lot of rounds through a lot of guns and I do not recall ever having an actual failure to fire. I've had some stovepipes or failure to fully eject, but never a failure to fire.
