I am not ready for this 4 day work week going into a family cruise.[whip]

Going to be a nice toasty day here on the gulf coast. Going to 94 today, humidity 78% and dew point 73.

The wife and I just finished a light breakfast which included fresh blue berries that we picked earlier this morning from our five bushes.

While picking, I got to thinking back about an incident from a few years back. I walked out of the garage one afternoon and saw that a mocking bird had gotten in one of the nets that I covered the blue berry bushes with to keep the birds from eating all of the berries. At the time, we had six bushes and they were located six to eight feet apart.

I go out and start trying to free the mocking bird and our yellow tabby cat arrives on scene and wants to help. Game on! I'm trying to free the damn bird, keep the helpful cat at bay and then one of my back pocket buttons get caught in the net of the adjacent bush. Long story short, I freed the bird, pissed the cat off and trashed two or three blue berry bushes.

Moral of the story: I no longer use netting on the bushes and allow the birds to eat their share of blue berries.

90F/66%RH/85%chance for rain/9-17mph breeze- thank God. It has been an exceedingly hot spring and summer begins the 2nd-4th week of June. That's when the breeze suddenly stops and we have 90+RH everyday through mi-October.

Cable and internet won't woking for the last 20 hours. Finally, got the cable company to fix it remotely.

Watching Celts v. Pacers game from last night to see if the Celtics SWEEP!

Good morning, everyone. Last day of work here before I get to go home and well, work. Made the mistake of doing mulch early this year. Large maple tree dropped about 1.38 million seeds a few weeks back and now the mulch beds are a field of green as the seeds mostly took hold. So, it's time to pull all the new mulch and replace with new mulch. And I have an eviction notice to the rabbit squatters under my shed. These ef'ers have systematically taken down my grape vines and fig trees and are working on all types of flowers as well. Time for them to go
