Never mind me Robert, I know you are mad at me for believing that the jury should judge the facts and the law and not be led around like sheep by some lefty black-robed lawyer.

BTW...are you calling Jonathan Turley a dummy?

No. Probably have never done that here. Not my MO. But, I understand why you would ask such a question- because that is your MO and you believe- everyone does as you do.

Ironic that you are such a fan of The Founding Fathers ideas about the legal system, but you reject their idea when it suits you.

I cannot believe that you think the jury should rule on the law if you expect law to be predictable, used properly, and applied in a consistent manner. Maybe we need a Constitutional Amendment to dictate every aspect of how state trials should be conducted. Oh, wait, your a libertarian! That won't fly.

Would you want 6 or 12 citizens picked from the voter roles to decide the standards by which a determination whether you need surgery? Of course not. You'd want a surgeon for that. In short, a trained, experienced professional. So, why don't you think people deserve the same in the legal system? Maybe you would like a single King ruling on matters...

You should know better. Ray has no core beliefs other than he’s a contrarian who pivots to suit his mood and who he’s contradicting. That’s why I blocked a few months ago. Total waste to engage him.

Even though I’m trying hard to understand how the court works and what the process entails I’m still hard over in my opinion that this is a political hit job. Of course we can point to some things that are “correct” and meet the letter of the law. When I try to understand the whole thing, both sides together forming the whole, it appears to be carefully tailored as a political hit job. Far too many dots that do not connect to be a worthwhile case and too many contradictions to be fair and unbiased.

I think what we’ve learned is, the party of lynching has really missed their glorious publicity hooded days and needed an outlet. Don’t see how anyone can willingly be associated with democrats.

So the jury is like a bunch of rubes that can't think for themselves and a biased elitist lefty judge is like a trained, experienced professional that needs to steer the rubes on what to think so they reach what conclusion the judge wants? That sounds like a King ruling on matters.

No Robert, the law is anything but predictable as told by Eric in #35.

Regarding your other remarks, you sound more like you are building a strawman and gaslighting me.

How about trial by election? Every time someone is indicted/charged we all just get to simply vote on guilt or innocence and less than jail vs. jail and length of time vs. death? Or, how about we just let the crowd in a Coliseum make the decision?

I got an idea let’s do it the old way . Then all of the people would be in trouble for being dishonest , and disrespectful and just dumb. What is all about ? Very simply Money that’s what everything is about am I not right. I don’t have to watch anything or read anything to know that.

I really hate to post this it is a bit just my opinion. Money is what we are all after . If you don’t have it how do you survive?

So Trump was convicted on minor felony charges by a court and an AG that wanted to take him down. 98.2% of the garbage in DC probably did the same that Trump did of if not worse.

Not to get political but this was politically motivated plain and simple. He has the right of an appeal which he will do.
