Sorry to read that DED lost a toe. Does that mean you can only count to 19?

I haven't been able to count past 19.5 since that time a table saw took off half of my thumb. Also, I gotta remember to use my right hand when I hitchhike. If I use my left, they only take me halfway to my destination.

My older son installed a tonneau bed cover for me today. Handy to carry tubs and boxes of crap to matches and visiting family.

We replaced the ball joint on the 2003 Cub Cadet 1515. 15 bucks and we're back in bidness.

I asked my wife if she was going to stop her figure 8 mowing and start letting off of the gas. She said yes, but I don't believe it. It's an old mower--she uses it to mow in the summer and I use it for yard work in the winter. Saves some hours from being put on the 2023.

84 degrees, feeling like 87.

Three minutes ahead of sundown, the deck is perfect. Just crickets and some traffic.

Welcome to day #6 of the week gang. 🙄

So my Mom needed a new laptop. I bought one online and had it sent to me to purge any crap software and install useful software. I got it all set up except for linking it to her WiFi, printer, email, bank accounts and stuff. I'll do final touches when I visit them this coming week. I mailed it off last week so it would be there when I got there. Yesterday it showed up at my place saying it needs postage. WTF?

It was dropped off at the Post Office last week. Tracking number says it made it to WI and then they sent it back to me because of no postage. Somewhere along the line the postage sticker/label thingy on it evaporated?. Explain to me how it left MA post office, got to WI and then sent back to MA because of no postage? That's a head scratcher.

Anyway, woke up this morning and I still have 10 toes... so I got that goin' for me.

Happy Saturday, just a fast 8 hours of ot today followed by a relaxing weekend.

A sticky 77 degrees.

The kind of sticky that makes postage stickers/label thingys evaporate.

Joy ride with the wife to a bar/restaurant on Shawano Lake that has a menu semingly untouched by inflation. 8 miles away from there is a nice ice cream place- gotta have dessert.

A short visit with mom will round out our travels.

Major plans today. On the to do list:

1) A bunch of nothing.
2) Run some errands.
3) Cook some pig wrapped in pig (pork loin wrapped in bacon then glaze it with some maple syrup).
4) Clean up dishes.
5) Repeat #1.

Hopefully the bite is on at the rigs today. Headed about 30-40 miles offshore. Starting the day with an Air Bender Chisel.
