Both parties are going to fix everything. Neither party has a specific plan on how to fix anything. Political races should not be popularity contests, yet that is exactly what they are. The most specific plan is from Trump, build a border wall. Otherwise I have not read anything concrete about any policy.

Basically we have sound bytes, talking points, and feels good fluff. As Americans we will do our part and vote. But damn I wish there was someone I could feel good about voting for. On one side we have the man who wants to be like Putin thereby running the United States as his own property. On the other side we have a woman who wants to turn the United States into a socialist country.

In truth whoever wins will have no major effect on my life and my family's. I get the feeling we are in a Nero fiddles while Rome is burning situation with no way out. Here is my bottom line, the deficit is ever increasing, all levels of government employ way the hell to many people, and we are heading towards hyperinflation at some point in time in the future. Sadly this seems to be the case with many countries

Certainly I am to damn dumb to figure out an answer. My belief is that a viable answer would be so complex that no one will find it.

OK, now I will get back in character.

^ At the very best Trump is a megalomaniac, at the worst he is the man who ends our Democratic Republic. Kamala Harris, is 20 years younger. Trump is now the old man with diminished mental capacity. Legitimate news sources such as CNN and MSNBC have made it obvious she is the only real choice. Heck, even FOX is panning some of what he says. Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies and will be sentenced 9/18/24. I bet if he wins and is running the country from jail you will feel like a fool. And please do tell, why is Socialism a bad form of government. The people living on the fringes actually get the help they need, as opposed to letting Americans die on the streets. The rich pay more in taxes because they can afford to. And so it goes, I question your intelligence sir. That is if you actually exist. You seem like very poorly coded AI. No one can be as ignorant as you appear to be.

Sanders 1, are you like a confused chameleon. 🦎
You even reply to your own post and question yourself

Do you now think MSM propaganda is a legitimate news source?
You ask yourself "why is Socialism a bad form of government?" when socialism has been the greatest poverty creation machine in history?
Are you completely unread?
You parrot LEFTY talking points.

Are you very poorly coded AI or are you a sentient being trying to play mind games with us?

Ever think to go to the actual websites the candidates have? You'd be amazed at the content (or lack thereof) you'll find.

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/platform  - A concise list of 20 items he would love to accomplish in a 2nd term

https://kamalaharris.com/  - Just links for you to donate money.

One of them even bothers to link to the Party platform to read what they want for the nation. The other is most likely embarrassed for what they want to stand for and relegate down on you.

Either party is electing a leader. A leader that will need the House and the Senate to accomplish (legally!) what they would like for the nation. Here, we can drop all 3rd Party talk as being some viable option. They're not. They will need a majority that will NEVER caucus with them to pass legislation that is worthy. We've seen recently what a leader does with Executive Orders and every department under the Executive Branch compels people to do. Thank GOD the SCOTUS recently clipped those "wings". We've seen a former President that delivered on his former campaign promises. The record is quite clear. There's no "being like Putin" out of him. Quite the opposite.

+1 on DMV’s post. Just like Trump’s last campaign he has stated his goals. Last go-round he would often do a “promises made, promises kept” segment where he referenced the documented goals that he campaigned on. Tax cuts, trade deals, etc.. The DNC has not done this.

Poverty and suffering is rampant in Socialist countries. How many times do we reference Venezuela or Cuba or USSR or North Korea to make this point clear? With Socialism you must have an authoritarian government. The government owns the means of production and all the resources and has 100% control of the labor force. It is class warfare. The bottom is not raised but the top is lowered. The wealth gap increases astronomically to the point that the citizens are all much poorer than the extremely small percentage of the party boss. The Commisar comes to town, literally, tells the bakers they can make only 1000 loafs of bread, they can charge exactly $1 per loaf not a cent more or less, and the wheat farmers must plant 1000 acres of wheat that produces 10,000 bushels of wheat, not a bit more or less. It is the road to serfdom or should I say The Road to Serfdom. This is not a theory or opinion. This is how the Economic philosophy works and it requires an authoritarian government to implement and control it.

The obvious point is that one is openly showing what they will do for America and the other one...well, you have to pass the bill, er...elect the person to office to see what they can do!

There's only one party that does the carrot and stick and that's the DNC. The ol' Presto-Changeoh. The grand switcheroo.

Here's a blast from the past....

“Both parties are going to fix everything.” Yet one of them has held the office for the past 4 years and 12 of the last 16, so it’s interesting to see how they’re touting fixes on day 1 in the office, while the other party has to un-f$#@ all of the damage done in the meantime.
