Any BOTL'S LIVE OUT THERE?

THATS hard to believe??

That is over 3 months solid of 100+ degrees...

I can't ever remember that in past history?
Maybe you Arizonians can educate me...

Ohhhh, it's a "dry heat" is all we ever heard out east...
Come to Arizona to retire and cure your asthma, allergies or golf everyday of retirement, electricity is cheap from the HOOVER DAM...
COME ONE
COME ALL
COME TO ARIZONA TO LIVE OUT THE REST OF YOUR RETIREMENT LIFE!!!

I ain't getting no where near that state...
I was there twice...it was AWESOME, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, but like Florida or California ( both of which I visited many many times)

I wouldn't want to live there...

I like 4 seasons, no mud slides, no canyon wildfire storms, no hurricanes or floods every year, almost no tornados, no earthquakes either...

Just googled...

The last record of over 100 degrees in a row in arizona...
Was in 1993...it was for "76" days? Straight over 100 degrees.
( or 73?)

Used to live out there and probably moving back eventually.

I don't miss the heat at all. It was brutal walking outside in 115 regularly

It was 115 today, but for some reason it didn't feel too bad. Evenings are finally getting down below 100 which is nice for smoking on the patio.

A week or two ago I was on my way to pick up a kid at school and noticed that my car said the outside temp was 121. Now that was a hot day.

Four months of hot and eight months of bliss. Ceptin' for snowbirds that flock in from Jonsie's hut.

After several weeks of low to mid 90's, wind, low humidity and no rain I was tired of it. Much respect to the desert dwellers.

I'll take rain and humidity any day. Like Jonesy said, I like having four distinct seasons and few natural disasters.

The climate has changed back to more average temps for this time of year--upper 70's to mid 80's. This weekend it's supposed to be in the upper 30's to low 40's at night.

Still not getting much rain though. I think we're going to have to water the garden until the first frost. This year I look as rain as a bonus...

I'm just the opposite. Hate humidity and don't mind the heat. No natural disasters like tornados, floods or hurricanes and I don't shovel my walk or have a set of winter tires. I just wish more peeps would stay where they are instead of moving here. The least they could do is bring their own water.

What about sand storms? Do you get those?

Well I prefer mild temps and low humidity and that's what we have here in the spring and fall for the most part.

But when Stog said 121 degrees, idk if I'd want to face that, even though high humidity isn't fun either.

When it was low humidity 96/97 degrees & windy here, the wind felt like an oven cooking my face. I thought about when you told us about the 121 degree day. Lol No.

Not much sand in the Sonoran desert which is an upland desert with a rich mixture of trees, shrubs and cactus but we do get a haboob now and then which is a dust storm.
