My father in law has hearing aids. When my mother in law starts nagging him or going on and on about some nonsense, I watch him either turn them down or remove them so he doesn't have to hear her. She rarely notices, although I see this smirk come across his face like he is internaly saying "Winning!" and fist-bumping himself.

In the 2nd grade we all had hearing tests at school. When I finished the tech looked at my chart and asked; Have you been around loud noises? It's been down hill since then. I have tried three different brands so far but they only make sounds louder and not clearer for me.

I think I saw a mouse in the hose the other day. I was getting ready for work and out of the corner of my eye saw something scurry under the dresser.

It was either an acid flashback or my cat is sleeping on the job. In the two years I lived here I've only seen two mice (assuming if that last flash was truly a mouse). First one was a dead carcass in the hallway about a year ago that the cat killed. Now this batman mouse. No signs of mouse poop or anything so maybe it was an imaginary mouse.

I put Jasper, my cat, on probation until further notice or until he can provide a proof of a dead mouse.
